I told this site many times. X1 over trakced October NPD, ioi never adjusted the numbers for October so when MS gave the triples in sales BS PR he tripled the sales. The problem was the sales he tripled were too high on here, meaning the tripled sales were out by an even bigger margin.

Im not going to say this is WiiU peak year, btf just because 2 of the biggest console franchise released this year doesn't warrant it is its peak. Nintendo didn't even try this holiday at all in terms of pushing HW and this is the result (just looking at US+Japan). I meana LoZ+Starfox next holiday with a huge price cut can swing things around. Also WiiU lineup next year looks way more solid than this years, as 2014 had 3 major games (500k+ sellers) vs next year which has potentially alot more :)

Frankly, I don't see Zelda doing much. Skyward Sword performed moderately at best given the popularity of the Wii and the franchise's own standard, plus A Link Between Worlds dropped off really quickly and left so much to be desired. I really think Animal Crossing is NIntendo's remaining only hope for a really big release.

True. Smash + Mario Kart are bigger system sellers than Zelda at this point. Zelda's not saving the Wii U. I think sadly it's over for the Wii U as far as having "good sales". It's not going to catch the GameCube and will go down as the lowest selling Nintendo console ever and only a miracle can change that now.

I loves me some Star Fox but yeah, haha, that's probably not going to sell anything on the hardware side.

Because Sony are selling at a higher price (making profit on every unit sold) and outsold Nintendo by a huge amount on both hardware and software.... yeah, sounds legit...

isnt nintendo also making a profit on every wii u sld as well?

pokemon sold close to 1.5m including digital

so probably more ~700k for both

I won't deny that there are bundles but seriously, PS4 sold a lot without a price cut virtually ...
