Capcom issued a Copyright Claim against my channel for daring to discuss and show portions of the SFV Trailer that they gave me in a press release. I've had to take down the previous video. Here is my response and opinions on the current bosses at Capcom Japan and my original arguments from the previous video.

Saw it a while back and he's right. This shit is helping no one. Why did MS have to start this with Tomb Raider?...

Hmm... If Capcom sent him the video, then all this should really be is an youtube copyright claim issue that happens very often with many games and trailers and it should be sorted out soon enough when he puts a counterclaim so I think he's just whining about nothing since this happens to pretty much everyone once a while.

Yes, Copyright claims suck but Companies always need to protect their own IP from being "miss used" by "unauthorized" users and in order to do so, I am guessing Capcom uploaded the trailer to youtube's copy protection database and if Capcom sent him the video, then it was probably a Mistake not to exclude Joe's channel (as well as a few others) from the SFV copyright database. This whole thing is an automated procedure so I feel like the whining is unnecessary unless the counterclaim gets denied which it shouldn't if Capcom sent him the video to begin with

He said that the videos are only good for like 3-4 days before people move on to other videos. Capcom knowing that couuld claim copyright even knowing that its not and then afther 3 days just say oops my bad sorry.

Yea but something like this wouldn't make any sense... If Capcom sent Joe the video to Advertise, then doing a copyright claim would be doing the exact opposite of that... He said at the beginning that Capcom was the one that gave him the video so it really doesn't make any sense for Capcom to do a copyright claim on it

It's their game so they can do what they want.

Its kinda like how some pc hardware youtubers get free items to review but are not allowed to give bad reviews on those products.

I understand where your coming from but I still feel as though that this is youtube's automated procedure that did the copyright claim rather then a capcom rep hitting the copyright claim button just cause something like this happens soo often with many games from various different publishers cause its soo easy to get a copyright claim from a video or a music track than anything else that its not even funny. If it was Capcom themselves with the intention your saying, then clearly, Capcom is a total tool but otherwise, I do still believe that it is Youtube's thing. And hes whining so much about it cause this is how he makes money

But I gotta say some of his points are not well made. Yes he's consistent in being pissed about RTR and SFV. But with RTR the majority of TR fans are being denied the game. But with SFV the large majority of gamers will have access to the game, because the majority of the fanbase is on PS, with a bit added from PC. So his argument about "do what's best for the majority of players" is a bit empty because the majority of gamers who want SFV are going to get SFV. And while we're at it it's on PC day and date with PS4, unlike RTR, which is probably coming to PC, but we know not when. Also perhaps Capcom were convinced to bring SFV development timetable forward with Sony's cash. And that's also to the benefit of the majority of gamers.

Just curious about what cross play MS has allowed for Xb one and PC?

Also, how about connecting the dots? If you want to get pissed at someone he should still be pissed at MS for re-starting this whole franchise poaching war. Sony can't just sit idly by and let MS buy exclusivity for moderately popular 3rd party multiplatform franchises. It is a console war, inasmuch as it's a dog eat dog competition for the gamer dollar, and the way these things work is fighting fire with fire. Are you really going to be equally pissed at Sony over SFV, when they are merely doing what they think is necessary to secure their position?

You can argue that maybe Sony was already in talks with Capcom for SFV exclusivity before the RTR announcement, and probably we'll never know. But IMO it's likely this SFV deal IS reactive to the RTR exclusivity deal, and that without the RTR exclusivity deal we probably would see a fully multiplatform SFV, only possibly not as soon.

Still back to the topic. Yep Capcom are dickheads for taking down Angry Joe's video. You can't keep these things down. All you're going to do is piss off Angry Joe some more, and he'll just do a different angry rant, and get just as many views.
