Forums - Gaming - Kriophobia: Bringing Back Survival Horror

Hi,

There is a interesting kickstarter project about a survival horror game, with stunning artstyle.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/firasoft/kriophobia-bringing-back-survival-horror/

It is being developed for some friends of mine(brazilian developers, Firasoft), and im helping to divulge.

Check it out!

Finished the demo, it started glitching at the end but somehow I finished it. The atmosphere is nice, but the game isn't particularly special.

The hand drawn art is passable, and better than the 3D environments. The controls are too simple and too awkward, feels like they're made for a tablet, and are not well suited if the game will call for some hiding and escaping. Kept missing the text boxes, they would pop up and disappear, never stopping the character's movement.

More than that though, it looks kind of uninteresting to me, dull and archaic to be honest. With survival horror you expect more these days, as well as with an adventure game. IMO if it fails to reach the goal it's not worth continuing the project. Sorry. :/
