The title says it all.

As for me, the day before I got my ps3 I couldn't sleep. When I woke up and went to gamestop, the dude was a jerk.

He was saying how the 360 is cheaper and alll of ps3s games are coming to the 360 and tried to sell me it.

I said no and bought the ps3 anyways, and am happy I did. I had fun for a long time with resistance and motorstorm.

I've had great fun since with skate, uncharted, and many more games.

So how did you get / feel when you got your favorite console? 

I called all my friends and celebrated it for three weeks;

I felt positively giddy when I picked up the Wii. I live in a small town, and my Blockbuster was only getting 2 of them. I took it home, trembling, and began to make Miis of myself, my family, and my 3 friends who were coming over to play. We spent HOURS jumping around my living room swinging around Wii Sports and having a great time. Also played Red Steel, Rayman, and Monkey Ball .

When they left, I played Zelda, and 'twas awesome as well.

The day we got ours I rushed my ass to the store ASAP and bought Resistance :D The chick behind the counter was trying to sell me on Fear and told me it was a much better game >_> BLASPHEMER, Insomniac delivered and my roomate and I had a blast with the co-op ^^

Our first Blu-ray movie was Casino Royal and man what a trip that was :)

fl0w was the first downloaded game I played and I thought that was pretty cool too ^_^

Hell I'm still celebrating the purchase of our PS3 like 5 months after the fact :D

 nice, i still haven't watched a blu ray movie yet. I want to, but i only have an SD tv so its not really worth it yet i dont think to buy one.

 i cant wait to pick up mlb 08 the show today and i definitely cant wait for resistance 2 and little big planet. 

It was even more exciting then the first time I played GTA SA, or FF XII
However, the excitement had to be put on hold while I downloaded GT HD and the new firmware, then once I launched MS, I was amazed, even having played it a few weeks earlier at an exhibition

I felt giddy and lucky. I put the PS3 in the front seat and put on its seatbelt. I had to pick up my mom for her lunch hour. She rode in the back seat. That evening, I hooked it up, actually read all the terms of services and manuals for about an hour, then stuck in resistance. I've loved it ever since.

I didn't feel as excited for the PSP, but that's because I didn't get it anywhere near its launch. I love it too though. :)

the day i finally got a wii i felt excited i could not stop playing zelda tp a very good day.

No one was excited to get their Xbox?? or anything older than 2 years ago??
