I don't understand why Wii U goes up in sales, it's almost at the same price as walmart regular price.

But he's right about this being December Amazon Bestsellers thread. People only want to comment in this thread when PS4 is ahead in the hourly charts. Which only happened for like a day.

Because PS4 is selling so well it doesn't need to drop its price. Hell, its even having tight inventory in EU.

You drop the price when you are selling below the competition. (Example: Xbox One = $500 >> $400 >> $350)

Ps4 has been $399 since launch because that's a price people are ok with. Consoles CAN make profits. They don't need to be sold at a loss. In fact, most start being sold at a profit within a few years of launch. PS4 is already being sold at a profit if Sony is to be believed. So what's the plan? If Xbox One stays at $350 past the holidays then Sony might need to react with a price cut of their own. If not, they will go business as usual and proceed with whatever plans they had and do a price cut when they feel like it.

I'd like cheap consoles just like anyone else of course. I'm all in favor of price cuts but you have to understand that corporations want to make money in every single way they can. I as a consumer would rather have my new console sooner rather than later. I'm not waiting for price cuts that may take years to come. That's why I bought a PS4 at launch. Haven't regretted it one bit.

I think his/hers point was that a 45 yr old lady with a 13 yr old probably doesn't care which one looks better as it doesn't really matter in her opinion.

Yeah, a 45 year old lady only goes by popularity and price. Or her kid tells her what to get them. 

They might say something like "I've heard of Halo, Call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto, this console has those games for a lower price? SOLD"

Your kind? What is this a science fiction movie? I've argued against Amazon when things were not accurate. Like $89 PS4s making the PS4 go up in the rankings. I've never argued against an obvious win. Like a #3 and #30 gap win. Your digs seem a little personal. Maybe you should calm down.

Updated again, amazon seem to be on it lately.

People comment when there are interesting things happening. Like when the XBO first got a big boost on Amazon and we had a a 500+ post thread about it. Plenty of people commented there. If there are no major changes then what is there to say? XBO is ahead of PS4. Cool, been that way for a month and a half.
