How many new IP's would Sony come out with? They've invested in more new IP's than MS and Nintendo combined in the last few years, and some of them bombed pretty hard despite being very good (like Tearaway). With an established IP like SF, they have many advantages.

SF has a huge fanbase which would now either go to PS4 or PC now with SF V, and now Sony have a console exclusive fighter which is also a part of Evo tournaments. Just like MS saw ROTTR as an answer to UC4, I think Sony saw SF V as the answer to KI.

And many more of them were downright mediocre or terrible. No, what I was hoping for was a new Sony IP that they invested greatly in, not just a one-off project with minimal funding.

But yes, I've already said, it was a great move by Sony and one that will bring them money in the long run through sales. As a consumer though, it hurts.

A few of them were mediocre like Sorcery and Beyond: Two Souls. But the majority were good/very good like Driveclub (I know you think otherwise of this game, but its easily one of my favourite arcade racing games of the decade), Tearaway, Puppeteer and many others.

As I said they came out with many new IP's which haven't sold well. MS and Nintendo should come up with them more often, not Sony. Also why does it hurt you? You don't have a PS4?

I have a PS4, but it means less funding for something else. Personally, I see Street FIghter as an aging franchise that is in declinement, and not worth trying to keep alive. That being said, I hope it is successful and helps move units. We'll see.

Capcpom, what the fuck are you doing?

doing the right thing ? Fighting fans base are almost all in PS brand side

Wow it's crazy how many people are disliking SF all of a sudden. The FGC (fighting gaming community) is still strong and we like SF. There are other games that deserves the "milking" brand.

BTW, SFIV is coming exclusively to PS4 in Spring '15

well at least microsoft aren't the only one playing the console exclusives card. Sony was getting far behind in that department.

Street Fighter 5 should  get actual gamplay trailer.

It's really interesting to see what are the new things

Street Fighter 5 will have.

Bision is officially dead in Street Fighter III, which takes place after IV and if rumors are true, V too. Really hating the idea that V, timeline wise comes after IV and before III. It's really stupid. Hoping he is dead and stays dead.

He was supposed to be dead after Akuma killed him in SFII. But, capcom said that every street fighter game takes place in a parallel universe. That's how the justified bringing back so many characters that were supposed to be dead.

I'm thinking that we will see more SFIII characters, so I wouldn't doubt Yun. Or any SFIII character. Oddly enough, I wouldn't be too surprised to see the entire SFIII cast come back with a few SFII characters in for good measure.

They may not have been liked at first, but people today like the SFIII cast.

Personally, I liked how SF1, 2 and 3 introduced different characters. I wanted IV to continue the tradition, while taking place after III. I wish V would have it's own characters. Had IV had it's unique set of characters, maybe people would have gotten over SFII cast.

Or, I at least wish SFIV had not been called IV, but, something else entirely.

I don't want to see too many SFII characters return again. It's going to end up like Tekken, with too many characters. I want to see around 25-30. At least 8 of them new. And, shake it up a bit. We don't need Honda. We don't need Rufus. Who I know wont come back.... Well, I know Rufus wont come back, is what I mean.

Trim the fat, and only put characters people like into the game. That's why I'm happy Ganryu wont come back. No problem with fat guys. Taka Arashi is cool, and he's huge. Bigger than Honda and Ganryu. But, the personalities of Ganryu, and Rufus? Idiotic.

But, then, we get characters like Lucky Chloe... I tend to like the new characters.. But, when I see characters like Chloe it's just... ugh, wtf. I hope SFV doesn't have any characters like that.

It could mean less funding for something else, but its not as if Sony don't have any real exclusives next year.
