WTF!? This is just as bad as MS buying Tomb Raider.

But, this being Capcom, it won't stay "exclusive" for very long.

I'm not sure.

If it was fully funded already and was going to be made for both PS4 and X1 with no moneyhat, then I think it's crap. I hate 3rd party moneyhatting like that.

If it was unfunded and not going to be made, and Sony ponied (lol) up the cash to get it done, then I have no problem with it.

Bayonetta 2 AFAIK was only made because Nintendo footed the bill. I'm okay with that.

Titanfall was apparently in development hell and had hit the wall in funding, and Microsoft footed the bill in exchange for exclusivity. I'm okay with that. (assuming true, which some people debate, but I'm uninterested in that here so take it at face value).

Tomb Raider was from all reports a successful franchise that had a sequel announced already, funding should have been no problem, and THEN Microsoft apparently moneyhatted it for exclusivity. THAT SUCKS. If this SF5 deal is the same (already funded and on course for multiplat, but derailed by moneyhats), then damnit. I hate this kind of crap.

We all knew this was going to happen with all the Street Fighter PS4 hints since the PS4 launch.

PS4 is going to be the it system next year.

I'm sorry but this is BS, just as much as the Tomb Raider exclusivity. This isn't fair for Xbox fans.

Without Sony's support this game wouldn't have been made at all, Capcom said they were not in a position to make a next gen Street Fighter.  Tomb Raider was already being made and Microsoft just gave them extra money for exclusivity at the end.

Very Insightful. These must be difficult times for Capcom.

Why else do you think they are making exclusivity deals left, right and centre.

MonHun on Nintendo, Dead Rising on Xbox, Deep Down and Street Fighter on PS4. Wouldnt be surprised if more are to come.

True, they seem to be following a new strategy. Focus on fast and easy profit with minimal risk.

funny that I didn't see this until now.

I'm just glad PS fans are forced to adopt PS4/PC titles as part of their exclusives list if they wanna brag. ;)

Because if a corporate teaser said "exclusive" then its totz fine.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Such a stupid exclusive, in what form exclusivity benefits a fighting game. Hope Sony didn't spend a penny on this.

Now Dragon's Dogma, that would greatly benefit from being exclusive, a game with great basic mechanics and so much promise but that needs some special dedication to pull it off.

compared to street fighter dragon's dogma is an obscure title... so i don't see how that makes sense

If true, Sony must have presented one hell of a moneyhat.

I am cautiously optimistic. I enjoyed SFIV mostly, but they milked the fuck out of it.

Thankfully they did, without that moneyhat this game wouldn't exist.

Happened long ago. Thanks to the steady stream of superb EXCLUSIVE indie titles the PS4 has been getting since launch and will be getting in the future, that are also on PC ;)
