Forums - Sales - Bayonetta 2 is HEAVILY undertracked in France/Europe (VGC)

Yesterday Nintendo of France released some interesting numbers about their systems/games. One of them have caught my attention: Bayonetta 2, which sold around 60k there.

According to VGC, the game sold only 21,650 units in France (82,289 for the whole Europe). That's a 3:1 difference, so it's very safe to assume that VGC is also undertracking the game's numbers in europe.

Any guesses for the real total numbers for Europe?

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

The game is still greatly overtracked in Europe.

60k for France, I'd say Germany should be close to that, maybe an estra 15k-20k for the UK and 10k or so for the rest of Europe where WiiU is a lost cause.

So maybe 150k for Europe, I'd say chartz is more or less right in global figures.

60K shipped, before anyone else.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Not that I don't believe it, but where are Bayonetta 2 sales specifically mentioned in that article?

No offense, but that is not heavily. It is very small numbers and thus % wise it is harder to track. But raw numbers it is pretty close. I think Bayonetta 2 did ok in Germany, France and UK. But they probably had little presence in the rest of Europe.

I think 120k-150k max for Europe.

Since 60k is the sell-in figure, it seems more likely they've just shipped loads of units for the holidays which explains the disparity. Also that figure probably includes digital distribution. Doubt Vgchartz has its retail estimates under-tracked that much.
