60FPS is closer to life than 30, so it's always nice to see. But apparently, sometimes it's "too real" and it apparently makes things like games worse for some reason.

Well sure, but one doesn't taste, smell, touch, or hear Frames Per Second, so you have to see them when you sense them, don't you? |
Sensory input is contingous(constant, like a stream of water) because our receptors are larger than the "particles carrying the sense"
Taste is analogous to smell as it is the detection of chemical particles. Those chemical particles fit into and trigger particles that send signals to the brain.
Touch is due to pressure which affects dermal cells. In reality, its a result of electron repulsion, electrons being much smaller than cells.
Hearing is the detection of pressure waves, which are vibrations in the medium carrying them usually air. The molecules that make up air are much smaller then the receptors in are ear.
Vision is the detection of the different wave lengths of light, activiate by special receptors in the back of our eyes. Photons are actually smaller than Electrons so yeah, you aren't going to percieve individual photons.
Taste, smell, touch, hearing, and vision (seeing) are physically limited by the size of our receptors, but within the bounds of the largest and smallest they can recieve input from, it is continguous.
The brain is able to percieve frames and will blend them together to make a moving image, but the brain adapts and acclamates to sensory so that, if you play 30 for a long time you will get used to it, and if you switch to 60 you probably wont notice, but when you go back you will be very surprised.
Try it:
If you own smash brothers melee, go into training mode and run it on half speed, Smash runs at 60 fps, so when you lower it by half its 30 fps. The difference is huge.

Its very noticeable, but 30 isn't a slideshow like 15 is. People who think 30 is enough are probably looking for the slideshow effect and not seeing it and therefore thinking 30 is as good as it needs to be.
That's what people say but there is a noticeable difference between 60fps and 30fps.
I reported this thread because it is one of the most pointless things I have come across. I have never reported anything or one in the whole time I have been on this site.
Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!
Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st ![]()
Higher Framerate = Higher response = Better overall game experience so imo, 60 fps > 30 fps
Btw, whats with the OP?
PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850
Technically the human eye can't see past 30fps, but higher frame rates do 'trick' the eyes into seeing more smoothness.
