Forums - Sony - If LAIR didn't fail...

And it became a major success, everything was good about it, the controls were excellent and added lots to the game.

Where would the SixAxis be right now? It would have a proven game, and more people would be exposed to it. Would Sony make more games completly centered around it? Would it still be ignored?

I don't think Sixaxis was a good idea at all, but you have to wonder if LAIR is the reason it has little involvement with Sony's and third parties games today...

well, I just don't see it happening. Even with Wiimote, that game still won 't be accurate enough to be considered 'acceptable replacement to analog stick'.

Besides, that game's way too singular in term of gameplay.

if that actually happend, i think more devs would center around motion controls but it wouldnt work otu so well.

the motion controls or example in skate. are terrible but then again its EA.
Lair motion controls are terrible
motorstorm motion controls are average.

and thats all ive tried

I think developers should let people adjust the sensitivity with motion controls too, especially if they are mandatory. This can make a really big difference.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

They should just come out with a firmware update so it gives you the option to play the game with the analog or SIXAXIS controls....*coughs* SIXAXIS SUCKS *coughs* :D

Sixaxis is fine. Play Warhawk.

LAIR didn't fail on controls alone.

If Julian from F5 was not a moron the game would have been decent/good

Amen. I love using the Sixaxis on Warhawk, its so much fun! It's also decent on Motorstorm, my friends and I had lots of fun trading off with that. If only they had offline play in Motorstorm... Ah well, another reason to look forward to the sequel!

It still wouldn't be widely used. There is a reason why the Wii comes with just the wiimote and only supports regular pads secondary.  It kinda forces people to use it to be different.

Give it time though. It'll have some nice games for it.
