Forums - Sony - Sony Pictures Paralyzed By Computer Hacker Attack With Ominous Message

Kind of odd that Sony Pictures is the one getting targeted- seriously, of all the divisions, that isn't the one I expect to draw ire- and the group calls itself 'GOP.' Extra odd is that they specifically hashtagged it, which screams 'TWEET ABOUT US, GUYS!'

....even though this likely IS legit, not gonna lie, half-expecting this to end up having something to do with the Watch Dogs movie Ubisoft and Sony Pictures were partnering up to do back in 2013.

This has nothing to do with PSN.
Sony Pictures. This is movie-related.

Well that's a little ominous.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

It reflects on the whole company. They never upgraded their servers or security since then. The only reason they reprogrammed PSN back then is because people were taking multiple games and personal information off their network for free. By they were informed what was happening it was already about two months too late.

Sony Pictures? What's these hackers demands? "Make another Smurfs movies, or else"

That is rediculous, they would obviously demand they stop making Smurfs movies.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

I wonder what their demands are?

Stop making Spiderman movies hopefully...

Or hopefully they're demanding they make a movie of this!

"May Parker was transformed by Galactus into the cosmically-powered being Golden Oldie to serve as his herald. Rather than lead him to populated worlds, Oldie discovered an extraterrestrial baker who bakes planet-sized snack cakes that sate Galactus's hunger. May's transformation is ultimately revealed as a dream."

Damn can you imagine! So much hype.

Didn't they improve their protection agaist things like these in 2011?

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Come join The 2018 Obscure Game Monthly Review Thread.

What if they expand into doing the same thing to Sony Finance/Insurance in Japan? Long enough suspension of thier whole business sector that is actually where there is most income coming from, could prove devastating for this quarter.

So you personally inspected Sonys servers and confirmed this? Can I have some proof?
