Start with X/Y because it has the gen 1 starters everyone loves and Mewtwo. Then move on to OR/AS if you like X/Y.

I haven't even played OR/AS, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's better than X/Y. It shouldn't be too hard since the source material is most definitely better than X/Y.
