That last bit is painfully true, I'm Japanese, my husband is white, we were in the UK not too long ago with our daughter (who for the most part looks mostly japanese), i left him with her in a mall to use he bathroom, and when I came back a woman was stood next to him with a security guard attempting to hold him down for "abusing someones kid", all the while he was saying "what the hell, its MY DAUGHTER", when i ran over and asked what the hell, the security guard instantly turned to me and said "is this your daughter", I obviously sad yes, and before i could say another word he says "we've caught this man trying to interfere with your child", the police have been called and are on their way.

if someone puts themselves in a dangerous situation with no regard for their safety... they are indeed responsible to some extent if something happens to them

this "victim blaming" nonsense is just one of many methods being used to take responsiblity away from women for their safety
