Same can be said for Sony and rumble shock controllers. And nintendo and their lack of wii price cut even though they are making atleast 100 bucks on the damn thing. Sometimes developers say stupd things to get noticed... |

Why exactly should Nintendo cut the price of the Wii lol ?
They can't keep it in stock at the current price, the only thing a price cut would do is reduce their profit and still it would be out of stocks so it would only increase customers difficulties at finding me as it would sell out even faster.......

A HVD DVD Drive, capible of no less than 500GB of drive space. Certainly enough to satisfy even Metal Gear 5. #2. Waggle controls that aren't to waggl-y #3. A 5 TB internal harddrive. Preferably very fast read times so if there is installation, it's instantaneous #4. A mind reader for the UI. Preferably something that isn't very intrusive to my everyday life. #5. Hardware that is not only very, very fast (like 30 general purpose CPUs, ect), but very very easy to work with. Infact, I want a dev kit that I can think up the games, and it creates the games for me. #6. A very fast selling console. See #7. #7. A $49.99 USD pricetag to ensure #6 happens. Kthxbye, Developers |
You kid, but I would love all of those things to happen.
Dear Nintendo,
Please produce WiiHD exactly like Microsofts 720 as suggested by MrStickball and don't produce your own games anymore.
Regards,
Devs United

well then u go to the store and buy a $60 20g harddrive :D |
Not sure where they are $60. They cost $90 on newegg.
But the cost is not the point. Developers do not have the ability to rely on a HD when designing games. For example, one of the really cool things about Dungeon Siege is it streamed the level in the background as you played. From start to end there was never a load screen. It definitely helped immerse you in the game. It would be near imposable without a HD. Also, if I had the choice to extend my optical drives life by loading more game data from the HD, I am going to take that option each time. Lastly, a very large percentage of consoles sold by MS have a HD, so not giving developers the ability to rely on one hurts most MS customer. If a large % of cores/arcades sold, I would say it was an option that really catered to the market. In the end however, it didn’t happen that way.
I don’t know why anyone would want to defend MS here. All it means is you get worse games.
In my book, better games > any game company
Absolutely agree with regard to the 360. The Wii does not really need a harddrive, it's specced similar as compared to last gen consoles (far less data reading for graphics and audio) and a lot of its appeal is (also) due to its form factor, a harddrive would make the Wii a lot bulkier.

Fine, point taken. How about lack of network port nintendo? I had to buy a 30 dollar adapter or a 50 dollar wireless router to play online.
