Forums - Gaming - Xbox One sales in 2015?

How much will the Xbox One sell WW in January 2015?

Less than 200k 56 38.36%

200k - 400k 39 26.71%

400k - 600k 22 15.07%

600k - 800k 10 6.85%

More than 800k 17 11.64%

Total:144

Well if the price goes up to $399 again then X1 sales will go very low. It might even get the lowest weekly numbers we have ever seen so far. And the fact that it has no big exclusives for the first half the year means it will do much worse.

I think that next year XOne will have +10% up.
Will sell around 6,000,000 this year, and next year almost 7,000,000.
But, Jenuary 2015 XOne will sell very bad, because in the US after big holidays, the price will back 400$... i said that will sell less than in April, so, i said less than 200K.

I guess we will see a repition of the 360 sales. Not good, not bad during the year, comes holiday sales will see a huge spike.
There were many threads last gen which concluded a PS3 massive lead because of sales throughout the year but 360 had its highest sales towards the end of the year and so won back a lot of what PS3 gained in lead.

wishful thinking if you sincerely believe thats what will happen this gen. And theer are a lot of obvious reasons why this isn't going to be the case.

Simply put, at the end of november and in one territory only. The XB1 may have a 200k lead over the PS4 in NA. MAY. But will still lose to the PS4 worldwide by at least 80k for that moneth if not more. So all its pulling back is 100k-200k in NA but still falling behind by 80k for the month worldwide. And whats even funnier, is that the 100k-200k it pulls back the PS4 will get back again in january+febuary 2015 for that territory. Then go on to slowly build another 1M+ lead in that one territory through the year.

All MS is doing so far is slowing just how quickly it gets outsold by the PS4. But the gap is still grwoing at what must be a troubling rate for them.

Sales fall for all consoles, but the drop will be the most severe on the X1, especially if the pricecut is temporary. I mean the first 8 months of 2015 are going to be awkward for the X1 with the exception of February where Evolve, Dying Light, and The Witcher 3 will come out.

I think you misunderstood what I said. The main part is the first paragraph, the other one is just showing what happened before. It is not to be used as an analogy to what will happen this gen. Relax, ps4 will win. I was just taking about the spike.

Xbox One sales in January will be like every other console.
Drop back to approximately September/October sales, if there were no unusual boost because of a pricedrop, special hardware bundle with huge sales, or multimillion seller exclusive

(So in this case we should use October sales as a better base estimate, because September had the Tier 2 launch)

With Screamride, State of Decay, maybe Ori and bunch of Indie/Arcade titles. Couple those with other titles that have yet to be given a release date.

If the price goes back to $400 then sales will tank (like when they went from $450 back to $500), so I don't think the price will go back up, or if it does then they will soon find themselves forced to cut it again.

Sales will be weak since XB1 doesn't have any exclusives dated in the 1st half of 2015.

PS4 never had any exclusives in August or September, yet it still had strong sales.

Exclusives aren't everything.

You cannot use an obscure phenomena like the PS4 as a basline for comparison. Also PS4 has Destiny in September which might aswell have been exclusive.

You werr doing so well until that bolded part.... and its the second time today you have made a reference to whatever mental state you think I am in. I am not gonna get into what kinda tone that is and how it can make conversations go so I will just say thanks for clearing that up and I hope you have a nice day :)

And for the record, nothing about that post you made suggested that you were just talking about "the spike". It sounded more like you were talking about a trend especially when you made refernce to "last gen"

And even at that I gave you the benefit of the doubt which is why i started with saying "wishiful thinking IF YOU THINK"
