price effect for xb1 ends jan you see huge decline in sales then but until then XB1 will be equal or greater to the PS4 in US but not enough to overcome a 1M gap which ps4 will continue to grow next yr and should be a point of no return when ps4 drops price later next year

I heard that NPD isn't tracking bundles, so the NPD numbers should indeed be vastly different.

For hardware purposes of course NPD tracks bundles, it would be a horribly unreliable service if it didn't. What it doesn't track is the software attached to official bundles. For paying customers perhaps NPD even reports individual sales of official bundles.

 

At OP, I think it is premature to suggest xb one now owns the USA. 2015 is the crunch year. When PS4 gets its first formal price cut the market reaction will determine the winner in the USA.
