Forums - Sales - Global Hardware 8th of November 2014

Anyway you look at it, that's a fantastic boost for the XB1 in the US. I really didn't think it would be that big.

The PS5 Exists.

I grew up in the era of Super Nintendo vs genesis battle and I don't remember sales #'s ever coming into the argument. These arguments today make me laugh. I say just play some damn games. P.S Dem Wii U numbers are a laugh to look at too.

Well we didn't have the number at the time. If you don't care about sales why are you here.

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

Next week will will probably be a close match between the ps4 and the one. They will probably be both at 160k, very close.

And the week after...Ps4+Gta5+TLOUR, + Farcry 4/GTA5 marketing + LBP3, it will sell a lot. i expect nearly 1 ps4 = 1.8 one for this week. And the week after, ps4 should still get a confortable lead.

November Npd will be interesting to see...if we get numbers...

I'm still surprised that even with all those bundles and pricecuts, PS4 still managed to stay in front worldwide. That's truly amazing.

Wait...so you expected PS4 to sell more in the US yet you're surprised it sold more WW? What a load of crap.

The first thing I saw last night in this thread was X1 winning in the US, and yes, I expected PS4 to still dominate. I then realized that the PS4 might not hold the helm WW. Then I saw that PS4 still sold more this week WW, that's what surprised me. I wouldn't consider this a personal victory like others claim, it's just... surprising .

Wii U is not able to get any cheddar. The situation is looking pretty bad for that console.

This will be a weird gen in my country if half the population is Playstation and the other have is Xbox. There will be murder in the streets! Hopefully MS does more in the US to make it our console and our console only .

If the price cut happened worldwide in that same week then yes it would be surprising. But EU and ROW is still PS4 territory. Thought that was the PS gospel sang everywhere.

It is really looking like the X1 will pass the Wii U before the end of the year!!!!!

So PS4 is probably at around 14M now, right?

Yet another one of those stupid type posts from people that at the time thought they were saying someting smart. I think VGC should ban posters like this.

So whatare you doing on  a site that PRIMARILY covers sales and in a thread under a sub forum called "sales discusssion"?????

wii U almost at 100k, maybe next week?

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.
