I think we'll get ratios maybe (e.g. PS4 outsold Xb one 17:1). But I think we'll only get an actual number if one or more of the big 3 choose to share. I don;t see Ninty doing that. That's a recollection of a prior post by someone else. Hardly reliable info. Can you find the actual post that made the original claiim? Otherwise, SO @ 9 and DC ahead of it is very plausible according to VGC individual format rankings. DC may be overtracked but it could still come in ahead of SO. SO ahead of Bayo 2 seems plausible given their VGC numbers are so close.

Without more info this NPD thread is all but over it would seem.

Amazon's 100% record of picking the hardware winner for 2014 is preserved.

So it has Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, Hyrule Warriors, DKC, and Bayonetta 2 now ... Wii U's baseline is still well below 100k in NPD. And even 100k for a month like this wouldn't be good.

Pretty sad. Smash + amiibo will give a 2 month boost but not much else I fear. This system is just a dud.

Consumers just seem to be really against any type of game with color in it too, lol if Sunset Overdrive didn't do well. With Japan not buying consoles anymore maybe there just isn't a big enough market for Nintendo's IP any more (to drive sales of a $200-$300 piece of kit). We grew up in a different time it seems.

Fair enough. What do we know for sure?

SSB3DS 495K (inc digital) > SO/B2>B2/SO>DC but we have no idea of under and over. If we benchmark SO at ~110K for NPD (white bundles don't count) then B2 is about the same, with no official bundle to bump it up on VGC, and DC less than that. Was the DC bundle available in the USA or just Europe/PAL?
