Forums - Microsoft - Those people saying the 360 still has supply issues, where do you live?

A lot of stores had to wait longer than normal to get the 360 resupplied. MS said the problem should be cleared in March. Is this that hard to understand? Oh but "they must be telling lies!" Give me a break. I know at least where I work we are still sold out of 360s. However I work at a small electronic store low on the totem poll.

While you obviously live in America and know there is not a supply issue at all, quite a few people from Fantasy Land and the Land of Infinite Denial seem to believe that the 360 is HUGELY in demand and can't be found anywhere.

I was just trying to make sure people didn't apply this supply issue from the Land of Infinite Denial to the reason the 360 was getting beaten in America. But you seem rational enough, I wont bring it up again. Im sure some 360 fanboy will later today though...wonder if youll be as quick to jump on that post as you were on this one.

Again your the one in denial LOL. Please name all the people living in Fantasy Land who have posted in the last week that claim the 360 is supply constriant. Unless these people posted on the weekends since I don't check the forums on the weekends your the only person that I seen bringing this issue up. Not sure how long you been here on the forums but basically the breakdown is Jan-Mid Feb 360 supply issues here in the usa but late feb-now seems to be gone. What more do you need to drop this issue. Should I expect another thread tomorow or next week about supply issues? Like I said just give it a rest man heh.

Would you really like me to go any hunt down every person that used the 360 being "supply constrained" last week? I mean just look down the list. I keep bringing it up because I keep seeing it in posts, especially last week. Where I am located, we NEVER HAD SUPPLY issues. Not this week, not last week, not the week before. Which is why I asked WHERE THEY LIVED. I'm curious to see where they are at that has supply issues, or if they are just saying there no 360's because MSFT said there aren't. Also, I dont know if maybe you need to adjust your browser because it seems to exclude many lines of posts you dont wanna see, but on the second to last sentence I said: "But you seem rational enough, I wont bring it up again." One more time now to make sure you see it. "But you seem rational enough, I wont bring it up again." Ok now if it blocks that one line again, I can't help ya. I dont need to bring it up again, like I said because its evident now that it was just a poor excuse that MSFT used for its sharp decline in sales, but some 360 fanboy will bring it up. I was just trying to make sure I wasn't overlooking some remote region of North Dakota or something when I said that the whole supply thing seemed a bit bogus. Maybe less shipments, but not affecting more than 1,000 or so sales.

Haha... everytime i start thinkin Bush jokes aren't funny anymore because it's too easy... I see something like that.

Ah it's sad.

I'm surprised nobody has taken pictures of "Wii's in stock".

I mean I could if I wanted to "fabricate intellegence".  I mean if Gamestop employees want to complain about people asking every day for a wii they should complain to their managers for having empty wii boxes displayed.

No console after over a year, should still be that supply restrained. Never happened to PS1 (over 100 million sold) or PS2 (over 120 million sold), If Wii wants to come close to those numbers, they better shape up their manufacturing sector.

Haha that's funny.  They need to shape up their manufacturing sector if they want to approach those numbers.  So if Wii wants to come close to PS/PS2 it should be easier to find completely disregarding the fact that at this point it is blazing past PS1 and PS2?

http://vgchartz.com/hwlaunch.php?cons1=Wii&reg1=All&cons2=PS2&reg2=All&cons3=N64&reg3=Scandinavia&weeks=70

The charts only have Japanese data for the PS so I only put PS2 on that graph (and threw N64-scandinavia on there to have no third line) so it wouldn't be misleading.  But as you can see at current sales rates the Wii shouldn't be worried about trying to catch up to PS2 numbers.

There are some areas where the 360 has been out of supply. I talked to a guy at best buy recently who said that they have 360s, but they have to keep them for returns because they get 2 or 3 returns per shift that he's on and that's all of the Xbox 360s they have.

Here in Madison, though, the 360 has been in supply the entire time.

The day after Feb. 29th is March 1st! So is the requirement to be at this site is to have a lot of posts like some of you by posting all the non-sense then you can count me out. Well, I live in SW Washington area, the Wal-mart by my work has been out of stock on 360 since December. They don't even have the core! The last time I went there was a week ago and they still don't have any 360. My local Fred store finally got Elite in last week for the first time and they are fully stock on Pro. They always have the arcade that no one buy. I have no doubt that PS3 will again out sold the 360 and this is really bad for MS. They really should not let 360 go out of stock and pretty much now give momentum to PS3 in the US. It is their lost and Sony gain. If Sony can keep this momentum going then this blunder by MS will really cost them. My local FM finally sold all the 80gb PS3 in Jan. and in Feb they got rid of all the Spiderman-3 bundle 40gb. Sony have big blu-ray promotion and it seems to really help moving the console. (They were giving away free blu-ray remote and buy one get one free on all Sony blu-ray). I do think blu-ray victory will give PS3 a nice push...there are a lot of people who waiting to get PS3 and this will give them incentive to do so (at least excuse to justify to the wife). As for Wii, well last time I saw them in stock was back in October. My local FM store do not even have shelf space for Wii ....

I live in the Chicago area. For the entire month of January I couldn't find an Xbox 360 anywhere except for arcade models and a couple of Halo models. I finally found a Best Buy that had 3 Pros in stock. A half hour later I showed up to buy one, and there were only 2 left.

So yes, the shortages really did effect my area. I called a couple of Best Buys a couple of weeks ago for fun, and asked if they had 360s, and neither of them did. Not Pros, Arcades, or Elites.

MS said that they would solve the issue by now, they have.  There WAS a shortage in January and most of February.  Now there is NO LONGER a shortage.

Why is it so hard to understand this?

Incidentally, here in Sydney the three local game stores all have no Pro unit stock, and only a couple of Elites.  But I haven't heard of any shortages here in Australia so it's probably an anomaly.
