Those are actually really amazing numbers if you think about it. Though ORAS will not surpass these 3 games below lifetime sales (especially+obviously the first game), it is going to beat them in FW, which is definitely impressive.

Ruby/Sapphire: 1.27mil FW (The game its based on. Its going to beat its first week, which is funny. How many remakes can do that? :P)

FireRed/LeafGreen: 1.09mil FW [3.14mil Lifetime] (Based on Gen 1, its already practically beaten in first week sales)

XY sold 4.5mil-4.6mil, its kinda hard to think a remake of less popular gen will hit over 3.1mil, but it definitely could. I was thinking around 2.7-2.8mil lifetime

Pokémon and maybe Smash are the only Nintendo games that are as heavily frontloaded as some of the big AAA games on the other consoles. Their other games also sell extremely well (given the userbase), but mostly because of good legs. Mario Kart also has amazing FW sales, but nowhere near Pokémon or even Smash I think.
