Nice work! I should have known I couldn't slip that hint by VGChartz' resident Smash guru

Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii, 2008)
guessed by TruckOSaurus
With Super Smash Bros. arriving on WiiU tomorrow, it seems appropriate that its predecessor should arrive in the number 42 spot today. Boasting a staggering amount of content, from its online and offline multiplayer modes to its "vault" to its suprisingly deep single-player campaign, Brawl is one of those rare games that can be played ad infinitum. The stage design in Brawl is inspired; its score, a greatest hits collection of thirty years of Nintendo music, is unmatched; and its fighting mechanics accessible enough for novices yet deep enough for veterans. Most importantly, the game is a joy to play, alone or with a group of friends.

Not sure if it actually was the third level here, but... Crash Bandicoot 3? |
Well done.
Sorry I'm not making riddles, been so busy lately.
44. Mass Effect (X360)
This is one of the few games that made me panic near the end. Not used to playing games which allow choices that matter, I made a decision at the end of the game not to save a small group, so that I could save the human race because I honestly felt that I could have everyone die in one ending. The game starts off really slow, but the characters and locations are diverse and interesting, and the enemy/thread are well portrayed. Plus this game is probably the most interesting future sci-fi game I have ever played.
P.S. Ilos was very interesting.

43. The Last of Us
A really good zombie game, with a good plot and very well defined and relatable characters. I really like naughty dogs attempt at making a survival style game, but some bugs (like an ammo cap instead of a weight cap) really bug me. Had this game been more realistic (not having Joel being such a super soldier), and had the ending been better, it would have ranked higher on my list. Still, an amazing game, and a very flushed out gameplay system.
