Posting my hint for #50 again:

In order to learn the truth about yourself and this wicked place you have no choice but to descend into the darkness, unarmed and with the light as your only friend against the shadows that lure in the castle's depths.

And hint #47:

Two or four, who cares, just take me to the moon already!

Good boy!

Hint for #47:

This title became the most popular game on Xbox LIVE after its launch, unseating Halo 2.

46 introduced variables where there had been colors and precious minerals instead.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Halo 3, i think you meant? If so, it would be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

I remember the articles about dueling popularity. Unless you do mean Halo 2 in which case i'm stumped, as there weren't too many important games for OG Xbox in 2005. Unless it's Call of Duty 2.

I meant Halo 2, but the mystery game isn't an OG Xbox title.

Gears of War (Xbox 360, 2006)

guessed by Ka-pi96

Third-person shooters tend to get overlooked in favor of their first-person cousins, but it’s difficult not to be impressed with a game as technically sound and exhilarating as Gears of War. Released roughly a year into the lifecycle of the Xbox 360, Gears of War was the first game to truly justify the purchase of Microsoft’s expensive hardware. It looks great, it sounds great, and, thanks to an intuitive cover system, it plays even better. Featuring a thrilling and demanding single-player campaign and plenty of multiplayer options, both cooperative and competitive, Gears of War stands today as, arguably, the best third-person shooter ever made.
