Fable III?

I'm going to keep score for myself. So far 2/3 of my games were guessed, I was correct about 3 of 5 of my guesses (if this one's correct anyway) .

Correct!

Mario Party 2?

Ding ding! I've seen other people play Mario Party on YouTube and thought it looked fun. Then one fateful evening it went up on Club Nintendo as one of the monthly rewards, I had the coins to spare, and the rest is history....

I've played 1, 2, 4, 7, 8, and DS since then, and this is still my favorite. The boards and the games are better designed, and the costumes and "stories" for each of the boards was fun. Here's looking forward to 5-player Mario Party 10!

It's odd that my 47th is revealed before my 48th is. Heh

Awesome .

I remember Mario Party 2 being a very good entry in the series, though I don't have it myself. I played it when my cousin had it on his N64 a couple times, but that's a long time ago. Myself I have Mario Party 1 (N64), 5 (GC), 8 (Wii) and DS. I think all of them are pretty good in what they do and they've given me quite some good times playing them together with friends. I also hope MP 10 will be just as good .

Duck Hunt

  • System: Nintendo Entertainment System (NES)
  • Genre: Lightgun
  • Year: 1987
  • Rank last year: 47 (v 1)

Duck Hunt for the NES is also one of the contenders for being the first game I ever played. There's actually three games I think must be it, either this game, #14: Gunfighter (50) or a game that is yet to come further on in this list. Originally, only my aunt had an NES. It were the twilight years of the system, and the 'Super Nintendo', as we called the SNES, was beginning to hit it's stride. I can safely say my aunt got me into gaming in a major way, and when I was there, there were a couple games me and my cousin would play. Most of the time, it was either Soccer or Duck Hunt. We had the cartridge that also included Super Mario Bros., but we played Duck Hunt a hundred times more often than we played 'the main course'.

Probably everyone knows the concept, shoot every duck with the so-called 'Zapper' peripheral. In concept likely the simplest game to be featured on my list, but sometimes, it's the most simple things that are the most fun.

#48 - 1080 Snowboarding: Probably my favorite snowboarding game. Most snowboarding games nowadays put a greater emphasis on doing tricks, but 1080 had a greater emphasis on downhill racing, and I totally dig that. It was the most realistic snowboarding game I had played at the time, and I really do like putting it in every now and again to race through Dragon Cave or traverse through the Golden Forest. Love it. It didn't age as well as it could have but it's got a certain nostalgia factor to it.

Hint for #47 - In this game, you are a "commander" that joins a group of bounty hunters. Your landlord mistakenly calls this group "Stale Horse". Customization is the biggest draw of this game. Also, one of your neighbors really likes his toupees.

Custom Robo?

Yep! I'll write up something about it when it's time to.
