#2 my favorite part of this amazing game is an intimate, largely inconsequential moment in the game. One of the main character’s mom is paralyzed due to an accident that took place a little bit in the past, and remains bitter and hard-hearted in the present. In this one sequence at the end of a side quest, you go in the past back to the day of the incident, have the opportunity to save her. I replayed this moment dozens of times until I got it perfect, and went back to the present to see her immediately stand up, and have an entirely positive outlook on life. The horrible event never happened. Its this and other moments that make this my #2 game.

#1 In a post-apocalyptic future, you go on a quest to save you sister, but finish by destroying all memory and remnant of the past world (both good and evil) for a chance at a clean slate in the future.

#2 - Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Anyone who knows me a little around these parts knows how much I love the Smash bros series and as the Wii U version is still too new to be in the list, Brawl is my official favorite Smash game for 2014! The countless hours of fun I had playing online "With Friends"! Every night you could log on VGC ask who was playing and you'd easily get 3 or 4 players matches where anything could happen. My favorite fighter remained Peach but I also got plenty of good fights with Pikachu, Diddy Kong, Ice Climbers, Yoshi, Bowser and Kirby.

A repeat of my hint for game #1 (seeing people's Top 10, many of you should be able to guess it):

Out of the 7 playable characters, 4 don't use their real names. (There's really only 6 main characters, the 7th is optional)

why thank you sir!  I make it no secret what my favorite franchise is and these two games are what push it over the top.  Can't wait to see what's in store next year with the movie and game in the next 6 months!
