Street Fighter II?
But there's around four hundred versions... so once again I'm stuck there.

Crazy Taxi
System: SEGA Dreamcast
Genre: Racing
Year: 2000
Rank last year: 21 (v 7)
Crazy Taxi is clearly an arcade game ported to consoles, and that's also how it should be played. The game begs for short burst of hectic gameplay, which is what makes this game so effective.
The goal is to pick up potential customers and take them to their destinations in the shortest route, fastest time possible. This means that you can't oblige by traffic rules, because taking short-cuts and jumping rooftops is usually the fastest way. Performing these stunts earns you more money, as well as a fast time. In true arcade fashion, you're aiming for that high-score. The city where this happens is open world, just big enough to provide enough content and variety, just small enough to allow you to get good and know every nook and cranny.

2 of 3 down. Nice.
Game #28
With this cheat code, you can get a huge castle if you deny the money.
Hint for #27. This game originally started off as sort of an expansion to the first and later grew into it's own full blown sequel.
