Nice .
Gotta admit though, I personally got put off when it was announced solely because it was 'modern' and I always liked the World War II setting of the series before. Therefore I never played it. Stupid reason I know, I should've just tried at least, especially when now everyone says it was a very good game!

Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped
System: Sony PlayStation
Genre: 3D Platformer
Year: 1998
Rank last year: 27 (v 2)
In Golden Year 1998 came Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped to the excellent Sony PlayStation. Along a slew of other amazing games during that year, this was the one that put the PlayStation on the map. A memorable, fun and polished game that's still being talked about today.
In games such as these, story isn't what matters. It's something about some guy that doesn't lke Crash or something. It's instead about the gameplay, the level-design and the presentation. In all of which, Crash 3 excels. The whimsical and original design ideas and it's many levels all equally fun are a huge factor on the game's replayability. And replaying I did.
Game #28
This franchise had a strange lifespan. At first, the original game (the game I'm looking for) was released in the arcade, but then ported to it's publisher's home-console. Then, because that publisher was in trouble and prematurely ended their hardware line, the game got ported to two of it's competitors. However, it's sequel only came to that original console. But then, the second sequel was released exclusively on yet another competitor console. Isn't that Crazy?

Virtua Fighter?
EDIT: Wait! Its Crazy Taxi isnt it?
#29 Hint: This entry throws out the established story by letting you play dead characters, you could argue it's twice the fun!
Signature goes here!

Hehe, it's Crazy Taxi .
The first was ported to PS2 and GameCube sometime after it's Dreamcast release, the second came only to Dreamcast (curiously around the time of the ports of the first game), while the third game was exclusive to XBox.
It's a simple game, but it's just so much fun! It falls in the 'it's so stupid-it's good' category .
Hint(s) for the game #28: "Get the case, Sam. Nothing personal, buddy. Take care of him, and I'll see you back at Dodge. Sam? Sam!"
"The French guy was pulling the string."
"One day, you and me, are gonna dance."
"You hear about Slater? We think the cops got him. We saw what was left of his car."
"We got ourselves some work in LA. We gonna do our gangster *bleep* there."
