RPG whose story is likened to Star Wars

But in what sense? I can think of some games that have a similar "feeling" to Star Wars, like Rogue Galaxy and Final Fantasy XII.

In terms of plot though, Final Fantasy II is pretty similar...

You got it, FFXII.

I didn't actually notice while playing, but I have seen lots of people talking about the similarities since

I played the game when my english kinda sucked, so I didn't got much of it. But from what I remember, it is kinda similar. A bunch of rebels led by a princess, whose group also include a thief/outlaw of sorts and a regular guy who's just thrown in the middle of everything. They're fighting an evil government and whatnot.

Though Luke is actually important to the plot, unlike Vaan

34. Super Mario Bros Deluxe (Game Boy Color, 2000).

33: Few games as good-looking as this one appeared on this console, or even this console's successor, despite releasing back in 2001.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I'm not typically a fan of either horror or first-person shooter games, so for this one to be on my list is quite an achievement since it's both together. I just really enjoyed (well, kinda) this game when I got it back in the day, and it was really one of the most scary games I played - I went all the way until the end and it just kept getting harder and more terrifying all the time. It was intense throughout and somehow got me hooked despite having a super complex story I didn't understand a thing about.

Great choice. Super stylish, super scary, and some thrilling gun battles thanks to some truly intelligent artificial intelligence.

Final Fantasy 10?

I'm speaking strictly in technical terms, which is actually kind of sad regarding how few developers put effort into the latter console.

Metroid Prime? Hum, that's not a 2001 game I think...

Super Mario Galaxy (Wii, 2007)

guessed by S.Peelman

The Nintendo Wii supported plenty of great games over its six year lifespan, but few could compete with Super Mario Galaxy, and its sequel Super Mario Galaxy 2, in terms of technical daring, level design, and pure fun. In Super Mario Galaxy, Mario for the first time has an extraterrestrial adventure, a jaunt among the stars that owes a lot to Super Mario 64, but which dwarfs it in size and scope. The developers at Nintendo EAD created for the game an innovative physics system and spherical platform engine that allows Mario to circumnavigate small planetoids, while a gravitational pull keeping him from flying off into space. Even more audacious than this mechanical underpinning is the collection of imaginative and diverse levels that populate the game, all of them brilliantly designed, paced, and packed with things to do, see, and collect. Super Mario Galaxy marks the first of five Super Mario games on my list.
