Forums - Gaming - Who Will Profit the Most Quarter 3 (Oct-Dec/Holiday)? MS, Nintendo, Sony? (In Order)

Nintendo's technology is the most outdated and is right in the area where costs are reduced the most, I think, so every month that goes by it makes sense that their costs reduce drastically. If they can maintain 3DS sales to similar levels of last year, and now that they are making profits on each individual Wii U (and Wii U is selling more) we should see decent profitability this holiday. Furthermore, with high end software like Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros and Pokemon, there is more software profitability. And also Nintendo isn't spending a lot on hardware development as they will in the early and later years of this generation. So I think it'll end up being Nintendo > Sony > Microsoft. Next year is the year I think it will be Sony > Nintendo > Microsoft, as that is when PS4's software should become highly profitable and the after effects of the Vita should be reduced, along with cheaper hardware production costs. This is the first Sony console that doesn't have expensive disc drive technology reducing their profitability.

Well if is only game division then:

Sony > Nintendo > Microsoft

Microsoft is burning too much money with cheap bundles/price cut/kinectless since the beginning of the year

Nintendo > Sony > MS
3DS and Wii U will probably print money this time.
Also Amiibo.

Entertainment and Devices. Which is where Xbox lines up.

Umm we'll never know since MS reports gaming with other stuff. But regardless I'll go Nintendo> Sony> Microsoft

Relatively it will be Nintendo (increase compared to current baseline). Otherwise, no idea.

I didn't even think there was an Xbox Division. Thought it was an Entertainment Division that houses the Xbox brand, Tablets, etc. (Correct me if I'm wrong).

OP: Nintendo > Sony > Microsoft.

Nintendo-Sony-Microsoft
Nintendo #1 because they posted a profit after low Wii U and 3DS sales, so with Smash, Pokemon, and Amiibo I think they will post the most profit
PS4 will obviously sell tons but I think Amiibo will be huge, making Nintendo alot more profit, also the Vita will do terrible this holiday and really pull Sony down
XB1 will do pretty good but PS4 will sell alot more, even with the 350$ price

Sony hands down. then ninty, and Toshiba.
