from what i can gather, i think there were shortages but those ended last week, with last weeks numbers.

I think Ps3 will keep outselling 360 in others and japan throughout the year but I see 360 once again outselling the Ps3 in America during the launch of GTA.

I don't know, most stores only got inventory on Friday and IOI's weeks are Sunday - Saturday, so the 360 would of been in stock for only 2 days in this weeks numbers. I still think next weeks report will show a better picture for NA.

I still think that the supply issues didn't have much affect on things. Lite 360s, Premium 360s, AND 80gb ps3s have been hard to find for weeks. 80gb ps3s accounted for over 60% of ps3 sales, so limited stock should've had almost as much of an affect as the Premium/Elite shortages.

If the 360 passes up the ps3 this week or next in NA, it will be because the 360 has full stock but the 80gb ps3s are still no where to be found.

 Best Buy usually recieves stock on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  The largest electronics retailer in the country would've had stock for more than two days. 

Are you actually saying you expect the PS3 to sell 19m lifetime in Japan? That's.... optimistic.

On topic, the PS3 will likely beat the 360 in sales this week by a healthy margin. That's been the recent trend, and there's nothing getting released this week substantial enough to change that.

PS3, I highly doubt ps3 and 360 numbers are equal in Japan

deffo ps3 will outsell 360 wroldwide, once the big hitters start flowing through i cannot see 360 ahead in 2009

These are my expectations for the numbers:

I expect the PS3 to have more than 70k in sales in OTHERS thanks to blu-ray, I also expect the PS3 to pass the 100k mark in the U.S this week, thanks to again blu-ray.

Also I expect 360 sales to rise to around 4k, and PS3 sales to stay around 12k until Yakuza 3 comes out on the platform.

As for the wii, I expect about 80k in OTHERS(or less = to PS3 is possible) and over 180k in the U.S not 200k though, as for japan I expect 60k for wii.
