He's right though, the jump button doesn't make any sense. And you can't change it. The analog stick isn't ideal for the game either. That's why i only want to play with an emulator on PC.

Exaggerated reactions aside, the game only gets better the more skilled you become:

It is because the amazing N64 controller... it had the best controls of any smash game.

It's honestly amazing the quantum leap from Smash 64 to Melee. I feel comforable in saying there's never been that big of an improvement between games in a Nintendo franchise. I think the series would have been a very B-list franchise if they hadn't re-tooled the whole system the way they did in Melee.
