TLOU is a good game though, just overrated, but still good.

You're making the assumption that your opinion is the baseline for absolute truth in the world. I personally thought TLOU's gameplay was absolutely incredible, and the tension of some of the areas only added to that. Again though, that's simply my opinion. Just happens to be an opinion shaped by an awful lot of people ^^

Likewise, i've always immensely disliked the Metroid Prime trilogy. Doesn't mean the games aren't great, or that people that love them are wrong, they just don't fit my tastes. You should try remembering that.

Yeah, TLOU is a good game for sure. But still probably the most overrated of all time because it doesn't even deserve to scratch a "best games ever made" list let alone come in #1 like it does by most young gamers today. It just shows how the generation that was raised on COD games has far lower expectations as to what a great game is. Fun and creative gameplay doesn't matter to them much anymore.

how does a one year old rmk of a 95 game gets a solid 95, while a remaster + rmk of 4 games in one (97, 95, 94 and 87) just gets an 87?

should they just left halo 4 out of the collection to get better score, or what the fuck do they try to imply?

I don't see how a great game is overrated.Is it the greatest to most? No,but it's better than any FPS game that's for sure and it's easily the best game from last generation though U2 and Batman AC were my personal favorites.

The tech and games evoluted... just compared the first Tomb Raider in 94 with the last one in 2013... the resources and tech in 94 don't hold a finger in terms of gameplay to what we have today.

Enduro had amazing gameplay in 1980 but today with GT, Forza, pCARs you won't review Enduro neither with a 2/10.

If you review a old game with today standards it will receive lower score... you can't back to the past to review a old game.

Old games reciving 80 scores shows how good the gampley and mecanics were at it time... it is impressive.

Collections have always been treated like that. I can't think of many (any actually, but there may be one or two) major collection that's score has matched the scores of the titles making it up.

I don't personally agree with how collections are reviewed, but at least they're consistent about it. The MCC would probably have scored 90-ish on the 7th gen scale (which would have made it the highest scoring collection in years), but it seems critics are applying their new scale to collections too.

People upset over 87 need to step away from gaming a bit Imo. Also what's with the childish console war be going on here? Seriously give it up.
