Xbox One at number 3 best seller of November, nice.

Calling it now. With Amazon's predictive reliability this year Xb one being at 3 at this point in the month, after the biggest day of the month has been accounted for, this means it's almost guaranteed that Xb one wins November NPD. Especially with the highest PS4s being at 17 and 20, and all the other XB one/PS4 skus roughly cancelling each other out in the lower ranks.

It is possible that 17+20 > 3, but I doubt it. Though this is the first time in a long time that both consoles have been in the top 20 for the month.

Interestingly the Amazon monthly will count Sunday sales, but NPD won't.

Also Saturday numbers aren't covered in the monthly yet, and PS4 has been the lead console for pretty much the whole day. But with GTA bundle only available from 3rd parties now its sales will be dropping away for the next 24 hours.

PS4s been #1 for 2 days now. Since mid-day Thursday. It also sold out so it really tells you a lot about how its selling.

If this is the same case for many other retailers, then I think November will be a tossup. Neither system will win outright.

It's also been #1 at Gamestop online and at Best Buy.(not 100% sure about Best Buy since their chart updates are random)

I do think that the consoles will sell equally. I say a 50k difference between the winner and loser, which on Black Friday month is a statistical tie.

Microsoft would need to outsell the PS4 2:1 for all of its price cuts and bundles to be worth it. I can't imagine MS would be happy selling only 50k more than the PS4 in a month where they literally did every single thing they could. Price Cut. Free Games. Bundles. It's make or break for the Xbox One right now. This holiday is possibly the last chance it has to make a turnaround and outsell the PS4.

yup, the preorder bundles from oct move to november NPD, just like the destiny bundles from june-august went to sept npd

Weekly wise, xbox is still ahead.

How do you find best sellers by week or month all I can ever find is daily or yearly.

afaik you can't find them, you click to yearly bestsellers and then add -month (for example -11 for november) after the year in the adress bar for the monthly chart and -month-week beginning with (-11-24 here) for the weekly chart

atleast that's how I do it

hey it works, thanks!

I was walking down along the street and I heard this voice saying, "Good evening, Mr. Dowd." Well, I turned around and here was this big six-foot rabbit leaning up against a lamp-post. Well, I thought nothing of that because when you've lived in a town as long as I've lived in this one, you get used to the fact that everybody knows your name.

Yeah, the measures MS had to take in order to go toe-to-toe with the PS4 are really huge. Meanwhile, Sony just kept patient and sent out huge shipments of PS4s to each retailer for Black Friday. The probem with MS's strategy is that it is not sustainable nor efficient. What about from January to end of October? Heck, an X1 victory in December is even less likely than a November victory. You cannot rely on just 2 of 12 months, especially when you offer huge discounts and deals during those two months.

You can *IF* the rest of the year the competition is not outselling you much, which is what happened with PS3, they were always losing out when making a gain for most of the year... but this time it *WONT* work, due to the fact that the PS4 has been selling a ton of consoles through the year. So this strategy might gain MS lots of sales but it wont win them the war.

You will need to add cod aw bunble at 36 for october, since that week ended on november 2nd and the 76th position of ass creed bunble. And since we do not know the sale gap, and ass creed is at three, ahead of gta next gen, the gap between three  and seventeen could be two thousands or two unit. Plus ass creed bunble will move up too.

what? November NPD doesn't count the week ending November 2nd. It counts the 4 weeks of November from the 3rd to the 30th. With today and tomorrows numbers added the November Amazon chart will favor PS4 more than it does now.

He's right, those were pre order sales for the first week of November. When COD/AC bundles came out together with the price cut. October didn't have any of those sales.

but they get included in November charts for Amazon no? The same way as peoplewho preorder the GTA 5 bundle now on Amazon, won't have their sales counted till December?

Yeah, a 1.1 million deficit doesn't get erased in a month, let alone two. We also don't know if it's 2 out of 12 months or only 1 out of 12. If November turns out to be a statistical tie and the PS4 manages to outsell the X1 in December, then welp.....
