the compression is more aggressive on higher resolution uploads, so it wouldnt really matter.

one for the record books, people can tell the difference between a 720p game recorded at 1080p and uploaded to youtube, to a game recorded at 720p and uploaded to youtube, but theres people who claim they cant tell the difference between native 1080p and native 720p.
