Is the X1 leading the PS4 in the US right now? That would be a big fat no, so your initial prediction is wrong.... dead dead wrong. The X1 needs to overcome a 1.1-1.2 million gap as of the beginning of November. It can close the gap, but it doesn't mean much if it gets outsold in 10 or 11 of the 12 months of the year.

You need to know that there is a distinction between what you want to happen from what is actually happening. You were ridiculed because you keep claiming what you want to happen is happening.

There's a huge distinction between the Xbox business and Microsoft, as a whole company. The same applies to Playstation and Sony. Is MS the 2nd largest company because of the Xbox? Or is it because of Windows, business software, and cloud services? You can talk about MS's profits as much as you want, but the fact that the PS4 has a huge lead over the X1 worldwide in spite of MS's spending power is very telling.

I just told you i'm very in the know with this stuff work around it have people i know that worked for microsoft/nokia the whole deal. There is less with microsoft than with sony. And sony as a whole is losing a TON of money as a whole, ps4 is not a separate company if sony goes bankrupt so does ps4 its a very bad situation, and sony is not in a position to be losing money on their console. Microsoft will be putting windows 10 on the xbox one, this bring it into very close relation to everything else they do, they are getting ready to be the #1 company in the cloud space surpassing amazon, lots of these games run on the cloud this is all tied in to their whole company. Its in their best interest that the xbox brand stays alive whether it loses money temporarily or not. Sony on the other hand has barely made any money with PS for a VERY long time and doesnt tie in with anythign else they do aside from it being an electronic device. If ps4 wasnt here it wouldnt hurt sony as much as xbox would hurt msft. Microsoft is playing long game always have always will. You dont stay around over 25 years and now again the 2nd biggest company from being dumb.  Microsft has never lost money in any given year or even a quarter, there as one quarter supposedly they did but only because they had a big write off. That means in 25 years they've never lost money yet sony has been losing it for awhile. Its called running a business and doing it well. Microsoft dropped prices because they can, this xbox one is outselling 360 and it won its generation they are not as desparate as you think. Also msft is not interested in sony going bankrupt  in the slightest. Both companies doing well is good for everybody. Just saying dont expect sony to drop prices by much if any till next year. And the things i know that xbox has going for it software wise unrelated to gaming i dont see how it wont sell well in the next 5 years. It may even outsell 360 all time.

You're "very in the know".... Yeah, I don't believe you. You do know that Sony's $1.2 billion loss from last quarter came from writedowns from the mobile division? The mobile division actually made a profit, albeit a very small one, so Sony is actually profiting had it not been for the writedown, which is only a one time thing. Oh, and Sony made plenty of money from Playstation last quarter, too.

But I digress, we're talking about games here, not what a company does as a whole. Microsoft, in regards to the Xbox, is not doing well. The X1 sales from the beginning of this year is a testament to that. Meanwhile, the PS4 sold way better and more consistently. Didn't matter if MS is the 2nd largest company. PS4 crushed the X1 worldwide and achieved a 1.1 - 1.2 million lead in the US as of the beginning of November.

As for the rest of your paragraph.... non sequitors. Not interested since they're not what this thread is all about.

It'll probable outsell it. Price always matters, now as for the UK there is no price cut so no, but in the US yes it WILL outsell the PS4 in November and December (price advantage and more bundles). The holidays make up around half of the years sales, so yeh!

Oh, so now we've entered the realms of 'close minded Sony fanboys' because we want to deal with facts. I'm out.

And apparently, the topic is now on how Microsoft and Sony are doing as whole companies despite that this thread is about whether the X1 will outsell the PS4 this month.

Ok financials aside since i'm dealing with a kid.  Xbox one is outpacing 360 by very good margin, that is not considered not doing well by anyones standards except someone that loves sony. Its selling well because of hype. Once hype dies down it wont be selling as many. They are both outpacing last gen, the biggest game of every year some how manages to sell just as many on xbox with a 6 million less unit count which doesnt look good for sony. Just because sony owns half of their studios so they dont need to worry about people going to xbox, doesnt mean 3rd party wont be all over xbox next year.  You are making it out way worse than it is, and that is why i'm sticking up for this drill guy. You guys have no idea how business works in the slightest. People hear good things about ps4 and they go buy it. Then after a couple years go by and they see that xbox is better supported has more features and does the exact same thing plus more numbers will start to turn. Maybe they will never turn completely in favor of xbox but even if they turn slightly its enough for microsoft.  People have this hate for microsoft lke they are some big bad evil place. Its a business lol, so is sony, microsoft happens to be better at it, its not evil its them making money and making way more than anybody else right now but apple. I like companies like that because they tend to have the money to back future advancements and have way better services in terms of reliability. You think its a coincidence that sony is constantly getting hacked and taken down and microsoft what few times they do its right back up very quickly. Its because mirosoft has the money to take care of the problem and the know how in the server and software side. Sony is a manuf. they have to hire peopel out to take care of things like this microsoft doesnt. I bought xbox one for the simple fact its a smarter purchase in the long run. As soon as they kiddies realize they are missing out on features sales will be more equal.

If you compare the 360 and X1's first full calendar years, the 360 is beating its successor thus far. Had it not for the very frontloaded launch, the X1 would actually be behind. We also need to put into the account that the 360 was supply constrained for much of 2006 while the X1 was oversupplied. The X1 can't sell well outside of the holiday season and that's bad. The outlook for the console in 2015 is not good until September. It's important to sell consistently and release games that people want evenly. The X1 failed to do that this year and will fail to do it next year. Check out the PS4's 2015 lineup and how its exclusives are evenly spaced out. The Order: 1886 in February, Bloodborne in March, and MLB 15: The Show in April. Not to mention games like No Man's Sky, Hellblade, Uncharted 4, Rime, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, N++, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, The Tomorrow Children, Wild, Tearaway Unfolded, and even more will be coming out, too. Huge contrast there.

Finally, the X1 is gringo outsell the ps4 globally, worldwide... in the usa

Im a psguy but i dont like the idea of one console having total control of the market. Ps3 is an amazing device thx to xbox360

Ps: vgchartz Mobile needs to happen.  This is really painful

So you say, this isnt microsoft's first time around the block. MIcrosoft time on their side for a very long time, they could get this one wrong completely flop and still make another in 3 years and be completely fine. Sony doesnt have that option. None of those games interest me. The only games that consistently sell REALLY well are on both systems, and last i checked xbox almost sold as many as PS with having way less units out there. Game makers do not like to see this, if one console starts selling more games than the other thats the one that attracts them not a console that sons like hotcakes but nobody buys any games for it. People that bought PS4 bought it cause it was prices lower and got great reviews. Xbox didnt deserve the reviews it got in fact all the whining you kids did made microsoft cripple it. Not wanting to sign in every 24 hrs hahahahaha. The only reason someone wouldnt like that is if they were an rpg freak. I dont use my xbox unless its online period and thats my choice. Microsoft already knew this but alot of dumb kids and 20 somethings decided they thought they knew what they wanted but they really dont. The reason microsoft put that in place is its the only way they could protect their IP and give some really sweet options to boot. Take away the protection then you have to take away the options. Sony literally pushed gaming backwards by giving gamers exactly what ask for as if they know whats best because they've made consoles before. Sony was like look at us you can trade games in you dont have to sign in, and now look where we are exactly where we were with last gen better graphics thats it. I hope to god microsoft brings it back. But that being said gaming consoles are evolving sony needs to do something other than make a decent graphics machine which any manuf can do look at alienware. Sorry but yes PS is selling well kudos to them but it wont last forever. Ive heard nothing good come from PS owners that was any better than xbox aside from the occasional 1080p which apparently cant seem to hold 60 fps according to the new COD.
