Hey, I got a PS4. I got it before I got my Xbox One because after a lot of research, it was the better buy. The only game I've completed was Tomb Raider. I got inFamous and I didn't really like it. I downloaded a few free titles (Resogun, DCU Online, etc.) . Didn't really have fun with them, either. According to my activity feed, the last game I played on the PS4 was PT (that Silent Hill playable trailer) and that was on August 30th. Aside from that, my PS4 has only been used for WWE Network. You can look ME up on PSN right now. I didn't buy a $400 console just for it to gather dust but that's what happened. Now, I'm not going to sell it because I know great games are coming and when I buy any multi-plat, it will be for the PS4. I even intend to grab a few 3rd party games before the end of the year. Doesn't change the fact that I own the console and it's just not doing anything to make me want to play it.
Point being that it's not outside of the realm of possibility that somebody bought a PS4 and isn't having fun with it. I'm living proof. Meanwhile, my Xbox One gets played all of the time. The good stuff is coming but, despite all of the crititcally acclaimed content on the console (Highest metacritic average of all 8th gen consoles, ya know!) something is missing. So if the OP wanted to play some other console, let him. It's okay. As long as the Playstation 4 makes you happy, that's all that matters. That's why they make strawberry ice cream. Not everybody likes vanilla.

I see no problem in your or his different taste (and you never hide you like Nintendo more than others or that you bought PS4 before x1). My own ps4 is used very little because I just had Infamous for almost 6 months, didn't enjoy mgs prologue to much and just recently bought Knack (which I liked a lot) and KZ that I just started last week and am enjoying a little but I'm not much into fps as I usually say.
I have no problem adimiting that x1 have more high profile exclusives released (even if most don't please me I know they are quality title) and understand why someone would preffer x1 over ps4 during first years (even more when said person preffered x360 last gen) and have no problem with him exchanging or not liking the system.
My only point I reiterate is that he wasn't really interested in ps4 from beggining (and that is fair), just bought to resell (but didn't work out for him, but I don't feel pitty, even more when he got a nice deal for himself) and didn't put much time to find out the games (as he himself assumed). Basic point was a psn ID don't prove ownership of console, as you can make an account anywhere, and his lack of trophies (even bronze) shows he didn't tried many games on ps3 and I wrongly assumed none on Ps4 (TLOUR confused with Tlou) and he confesed to only play on his friend.
I didn't said he lie because I don't think he have motive (and don't remember he trolling sony, Just don't remember he being pro Sony as well, but that is okay).
And as I said I hope he enjoy x1 and when/if ps4 gets games he is interested he either play in his friends or rebuy cheaper because it may take sometime for the games that he likes appear.
How did you summarized it for ps4 is awesome if I never said it nor even think the games are awesome right now??? I like I:SS and Knack but they aren't awesome (altought I also don't think any game released for X1 at the moment is, at least for my taste).
