Forums - Gaming - XB1 will win November NPD, and that's what it deserves

Do you think it will?

Yes 248 24.63%

No 581 57.70%

Maybe 174 17.28%

Total:1,003

I agree that it would win November NPD, I mean, even I am tempted to buy the xbox just to get advantage of the bundle. It has implicitly a price reduction of $150 (400-50 price cut- 2 games included), if this doesn't do the trick, then there's no hope for xbox to beat ps4 in US.

Mindshare.

If Spencer and the X1 can take this holiday to build up mindshare, correct the ill-image they have, and advertise their advantages over Sony such as actually good exclusives and a network that actually works reliably, then they can carry that momentum over into 2015.

If not we can continue to Await Greatness...

I'm really not sure. Its too hard to tell cause PS4 is just so popular. If there was a MCC bundle for $349 then they would have won but since there isn't, I think PS4 will win again. I can't wait for the November NPD thread!

Twice before, it seemed like an X1 NPD victory was a lock: Titanfall month and the Kinect-less SKU month. The PS4 managed to win in March thanks to Infamous: Second Son, but it was really surprising when it won June because it didn't have any big games that month. The X1 had a huge advantage because it had some sort of a relaunch with an SKU that was $100 cheaper.

It remains to be seen what Sony will do to get more sales. I'm kinda surprised that they haven't announced a GTAV bundle or a Far Cry 4 bundle yet. For now, I'll vote a "maybe".

The PS4 also has very good exclusives like Infamous: Second Son and Driveclub, but yeah XB1 has more of them now. That said this advantage would not last long as the PS4 is getting two huge exclusives in February, and will get many more next year.

I think XB1 will sell more in November due to the bundles, deals and price, rather than exclusives.

But the PS4 is superior overall so it should always win

Lol this made me chuckle

Lol

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Infamous is the only decent game exclusive at the moment. Driveclub is NOT a selling point or one Sony would like people to think about.

And at this point we know nothing positive about the Order from actual gameplay footage. Yes, there is hope for Bloodborne to actually work at 30 FPS, I wouldn't hold my breath thought.

The market decides what the console deserves.

I think it will win too. Has too much going for it this month that appeals directly to that market.

Driveclub may not be a selling point, but its gameplay is very good and it really is an awesome game. The only problem it has is the servers which are functional but don't work well.

There is no need to worry about The Order: 1886. Most sites compare it to Gears, even though the only common thing between them is their genre. The Order: 1886 is slower paced, has more interesting weapon and a bigger focus on the story. Also The Order: 1886's developer has developed games with 85, 92 and 86 on Metacritic.

Also, what's the problem with 30 fps? Is a game running at 30 fps unplayable to you? Well then you've probably not played the vast majority of amazing games.
