Dafuq??? Higher pre orders? Overall or close to the same?

New mega evolutions in each new installment will definetly help out in future sales especially to 3rd interations or remakes.

Its a much more attractive purchase having new content in the same generation vs the old days with just new move tutors/etc,

My originally prediction was 9mil-10mil Lifetime, but it would be a huge achievement if it did pull over 11mil imo, especially considering HGSS/FRLG sales WW

Iwata says the reason is because the same group who grew up with Ruby and Saphire also grew up with Melee, so having Smash 3DS boosted interest for this game as well.

Not that surprised, this game has been waited for since the start of generation 5, also the 3DS does have a larger install base now then it did with X/Y, it may also do with the fact that people who got X/Y but didn't preorder were impressed so want to get another 6th gen game.
