Microsoft for not making Forza Horizon 2 a proper exclusive for Xbox One, that would have helped the XB1 to sell better.

The whole Rise of the Tomb Raider, anti-consumerism stuff.
Losing the trust of the gaming community without keeping games exclusive, speaking of Ryse and Dead Rising 3 not staying exclusive to XB1 for at least this generation.

Taking way too long to release a kinect-less XB1.
Cost being way too high for the tech involved.

Leaving ODST and Reach out of MCC, when they could have made a 6 game saga bundle, makes it seem obvious they're going to try and milk gamers even more and release a 2 game bundle with those two games.
Seems like they've rushed out MCC, rather than doing a proper job and make the complete package.

Seriously MS have done a lot of stupid things this year and their lack of foresight to actually announce any 1st party exclusives for XB1 is unbelievable.
If they truly want people to buy the system then they need to give them reasons.

Think about what MCC means.

Also, that is pretty ignorant of you saying they rushed out MCC when they have 4 full games with all DLC and PC maps, a fully remastered Halo 2 and Halo 5 beta. You're being greedy if you expected ODST and Reach to be a part of the Master Chief Collection.

I'm fully aware of what MCC means, but you've missed my meaning. What I was getting at is Microsoft could have done a Halo Universe or Halo Saga Part 1, making a complete Halo Experience as far as the games before Halo 5 goes, there's nothing ignorant about that. It's my opinion that I think it's rushed to not include two games that are a part of the Halo Universe.

Also considering this is meant to be a collection and 343 has only fully remastered one game (Halo 2), not giving the same treatment to Halo 1, 3 and 4, yes it's a rushed effort, it's a missed opportunity to not include 2 other important parts of the Halo story.

Also it's not greedy to expect 2 games that were on the original XBox and 4 from the 360, when they've already sold several million copies per release. The fact there would be more value there would actually probably make the complete set of games sell even more, which means more money in the hands of the developers or their parent company.

This whole thing isn't a complete remake, on par with Halo 5, it's 3 games ported to XB1, upressed to 1080p, a doubling of the frame rate and some other little tweaks here and there, with another one getting some extra attention.

As for the whole additional Halo 5 Beta, so what, it's a Beta, they're going to sell halo 5 next year (assuming it makes it out in time), so it's not like they're not going to make money from that, Halo usually sells like 9-10+ million copies per release, that will be no different IMO.

they just planned it as halo2 anny only

now u got halo MCC (they beat theire own internal expectation what workload they can manage in the given timeframe)

u get odst and wars for free on x360 if ur a gold member this november

u got reach for free last month

in one quarter, u got EVERY halo game for just 85 bucks

what else do u guys want more?

Sony: Abandoning the Vita.

You can call it disappointing, but you can hardly call it "dumb"

It is dumb. I think the Vita could've been a much bigger success had Sony given it more attention.

Agree. BTW portable game dev costs are amongst the few still under control, Sony could have developed two or three more 1st party games, partially funded a few tens more 3rd party games in the West and more ports of currently Japan-only games with very few million $, the return in increased HW sales, 1st party SW, royalties on the funded games themselves and additional royalties on the other 3rd party games bought by the larger user base would have more than justified the investments. The only constraint for Sony was about first party games, as it had to support PS4 launch, but this could have been solved avoiding closing some studios like SCE Liverpool, and instead funding them in the short term for example making them use a part not too big of their workforce to port some old classics to Android (possibly the ones with the potential to attract mobile users to series that have their latest titles planned for PSV, to get some synergy added for free).

Sony: abandoning the PS Vita, my local gamestop has gotten like 5-10 since the whole borderlands bundle, people been asking for some but none are in stock, really got to give credit it the Japanese and indie devs as they're the only thing bearly keeping the Vita from dieing

PS3 was 8 years ago. Not this year

Ahhh, glossed over the "this year " part

While I would like to disagree with you (because Im Aussie and I was going to buy one) it seems stupid that they didnt just leave those spare units in Japan where they have had stock issues.

Look I got nothing against Australia but I heard that only 700k 3DS's were sold in Australia out of the 45m sold WW

Just does not seem like a good business decision since US and EU are such bigger markets

Yeah heres the thing though, Nintendo cant make enough for all markets so they focused on Japan. Then Nintendo of Australia went over to NoJ and asked for some spare units and they was all like "sure, we can spare a few". We would probably recieve enough this year in Aus for like 1 Day at Nintendo world store in US.

The Minecraft investment by Microsoft was a poor investment. They could have invested elsewhere. In the meantime Notch became billionaire.
