OT:  I could not be more excited for this (well unless it was a new entry in the same vein as my favorite game ever a Crack in Time or a reboot using Up Your Arsenal lol) and I am eagerly anticipating the first footage...you know what no I gotta go media dark on this it's only 6 months away but that just seems so far even though I love this announce less than a year before release strategy Sony has taken with most games this gen it's very nice to not have to wait so long and to not feel like everything has been shown by the time it actually releases.

I still don't get this perfectly. Hopefully the game isn't very similar to the first Ratchet and Clank because it was one of the weakest and shortest games in the series. The series became amazing when R&C 2 came out in my opinion. 

R&C 1 is good, but it's very limited when compared to 2 and 3. It would feel like a huge set back to the series if this game were to be as limited and short as 1.

It's a retelling of the story so it will not contain anything from the first original game. So basically it's retaining everything from Ratchet and clank, design-wise, gameplay wise and the like but with a completely new story and more features.

I also hope the film version is amazing as well despite not really being a big budget animated film. It could help boost awareness and promote the name of Ratchet and clank to new people and fans.

Same here. Although I'm not interested in cartoonish looking games, so I will most likely just borrow the game to try it out, at best... I do hope the game is successful, there's always room for diversity, it helps set the platform apart from the competition...

theyre pretty good but there are so many of them I burnt myself out far too quickly on them when I finally got around to playing them. Just grab one of the ps3 ones at first i'd recommend. 

But you got to admit, the original is much more needing of a remake/reboot than Up Your Arsenal. And I'm not talking graphics, but stuff like upgrading your weapons, leveling up etc.. Oh and graphics as well

You should see it like this you've the spiderman movies and know you've the amazing spiderman movies, they are mostly entirely different movies, though some elements are the same. I'm wondering what kind of amazing weapons this entry is going to have and hopefuly weaponmods will return.

they'ii have crazy freaky weapons(that you'll level up),thats their trade-mark along with double entendre perverted name of their game....... i wonder what animal they'll use as the morph gun,probably a giant black rooster(and of course probably try to call it a cock gun until sony shoots it down like they did''clock blockers''),or have they already done that??.....

Yeah, with it being a reimagining of sorts I don't think they'll confine themselves to the gameplay or the first game. I expect some elements from the latter ones to be incorporated
