Cool, I'm interested to see what form the movie takes. By that I mean I wonder if it will actually get a theatrical release.
Bet with Adamblaziken:
I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.
As much as I enjoyed the Ratchet and Clank games, it seems hard to justify buying a remaster for just 1 game that's over 10 years old. Guess it depends on how much it will cost. It'll be on my radar, though.

The group that is making this also made the animated movie "Escape from Planet Earth", which is actually pretty good.
If you have Netflix, give it a look.

It will no doubt be $60, plus it is not a remaster. It is a reboot.
They are retelling the story. It will not be the same story you remember from the original.

You'd be right if it was just going to be a straight remaster, it's meant to be a complete remake or reboot, so chances are it's like a completely new game that will fit in with the Movie coming out around the same time next year.

I do have Netflix, so I will check it out. But the problem is almost all games lack the necessary depth in story to make for an interesting movie, even an animated kid oriented movie. I want it to succeed, I just think this isn't likely to be the movie which breaks that mold of being between crap and mediocre.

I still haven't had the ability to play the original game yet... Had only a demo, so I need to play it in some way. If this remake or reboot is good, which I guess it is, I'll pick it up either way.
Yep.
I've been pondering for years on how a R&C movie could be. I also wondered how popular can a R&C animated movie be on the audience. I'm pretty excited about it. The game, though, has me a bit worried. I've been a long time fan of R&C, I've been used to the older game style, story and platforming and I dunno if the change is for the better.
Never played Ratchet & Clank so I'll definitely be interesting in playing a reboot, remake, whatever the fuck this is.
