Maybe a year ago, there was an announcement of a  3DS eShop game called Ironfall.  

I was pretty hyped for it since it was  a game that appered to push the console's capabilities and borrow a lot of elements from Gears of War.  I haven't heard a thing about it in months.  Has the game been quietly cancelled?

They said that they'd show everything once the game is 100% finished, and apparently it was close to finished as of August.

Yeah hoping we see it again soon, although I doubt I would buy it.

They decided for a stronger metal and platform.

Got any evidence to back up this claim?

The closest I can find is the fact that they're licensed PSVita devs, though I don't think they'd want to move the game to the Vita where a lot of its uniqueness and novelty is lost.

This game looks extremely good for 3DS standards, and it's mature tone makes it stand out, but on the PSVita all those things are lost.
