Well I don't hate them cause they are not the only ones that dislike the Wii U, but I agree that Nintendo needs to cater less to Japanese gamers.

Honestly, I like that Nintendo try's to cater to Japan. Japanese styled games are great! (Diversity in general)

The 3DS sales are great in Japan so it's not really a Nintendo hate but a non-console preference. So, I don't mind either way.

And Nintendo still panders to the Japanese. Yet another example of how out of touch Nintendo is.

Japan, as a market, is dead... aging population, declining birth rates -- it's time to pander to the United States, Nintendo.

Japan's birthrate is 8.23 and their median age is 44.6.
Only 2 sovereign states -- Singapore and Monaco have lower birth rates per 1,000 citizens -- they're city-states.
Only 1 sovereign state -- Monaco has a higher median age -- it's a city-state.

Japan market is pretty dead outside of Smartphones games.

Japan have this dead market as everyone is saying for home consoles and yet WiiU has sold more lifetime in Japan the it has in Europe. Seems like this entire thread is aimed at the wrong group of people Spurge.

What do they want?
Anime games?
Pokemon U?
Metroid?

We are nintendo gamers. Hating is for little people. :)

Hate is reserved for when your console company threatens to spy on you - yes Microsoft, I will never buy an X1.

Japan is becoming more and more of a handheld only market. So even the PS4 wont sell much in its home country either.

It's just that Nintendo needs to export those Japanese only games AND acquire some more Western 3rd party devs to appeal to Western demographic.

Lately Japanese gamers are more handheld focussed. Majority of the top selling games in their country last year was handheld games.

In saying that, Metroid wouldnt help, Pokemon would, and anime games definitely.
