I don't get the hate towards sunshine. galaxy, 3d land and world are great games and must haves. but to me they are no true 3d marios. they have almost no replayability, no freedom, no secrets and far too easy.

For me it was the monotonous setting, lack of atmosphere, lack of variety, garish music, and just overall blandness.

NSMBU is my second favourite 2D Mario (after SMW), and 3D World is almost up there with my two favourite 3D Marios (Galaxy 1 & 2). All games mentioned are superior to Sunshine in my opinion, and to me the GameCube was the only Nintendo without a must-play 3D Mario.

People have different tastes I guess.

I don't get the hate Sunshine gets.
It has it's flaws but the game was probably one of the Mario games that most changed the Mario formula with different mechanics, different story and different settings.

Actually, some of the levels to have a Galaxy vibe to them.

Ok, you dont like Mario 3D World, but why you try to persuade everyone else that is a not good game!? 

Game have great sell and reviews, and yes, it is must have Mario platformer.

And NSMBU is best NSMB game.

I get it. Not that i fully agree, but i get it.
The lack of variety and the settings were probably the things that most held it back, but i don't think things were that bad to people really "hate" it.

There some levels i wasn't too fond of, but enjoyed the settings and how you used FLUDD to move around and fight enemies.

I never bought a Nintendo console and the only series that has my interest is the 3D Mario games. I was to buy a Wii to play the Galaxies, but it would be unreasonable to buy a console just for two games. Then I thought that in this generation I could buy a Wii U, because it would play Wii games. However, 3D World is not in the same league as the previous 3D titles, so I'm yet to buy a Nintendo console. :P
