Forums - Gaming - What is your opinion on each console + PC?

In this thread you would tell how and why you like and dislike each console. Do not exclude a console/pc.

Pc- I think this is the best platform for hardcore gaming. Most multiplats that come on ps3 and 360 come to pc and are even better graphically and in gameplay. You also have the option of modding and making your own games with a pc. There is such a large library that goes so far back there is 1000s-10000s of games millions if you count flash games. Pc gaming has the best online where most games have free online and you have options to pay for online for only games you want to play. Most games are cheaper while the pc itself is expensive. The only thing you would missout  on are the exclusives that consoles have.

Ps3- I think the ps3 is a very nice console. The features that the ps3 has far outweigh any home console (excluding pc). There are a few good exclusives but many are on their way. Blu-ray is a major + for the ps3. It's online is the 3rd best and 100% free.  The ps3 is a really good system for people who like to play by thierself.

360- The 360 is a really good console that offers many things. The online is only 2nd to pc and the 360 has by far the best 3rd party support. The 360 is the most popular console where I live so I have many people to play with. The 360 is mostly a multiplayer console imo. Most exclusives don't have much of a good single player as ps3 and wii games.

Wii- The wii is my favorite console and I buy the most games for it. The wii is the perfect balance of single player and multiplayer. It has alot of good 1st party games even though its 3rd party is lacking a bit. The wii is the most fun imo and doesn't revolve around violent games and graphics to be fun. The online isn't too good but that will change soon. The wii brings the best controls out of all systems including pc( has one more axis of motion than the pc). The only things the wii is lacking are 3rd party support, good online, and more storage. The wii is right with its time in graphics while the ps3 and 360 are ahead.

I like all of them but prefer the Wii and Pc the most.

PC - Has my favorite games: RTS and FPS but has the worst "feel" to it, I just don't feel like I'm playing a real video game.

PS3 - Awesome for platformers but it's getting more FPSs which I have to say don't work the greatest on.

360 - JUST FPSs but some are just awesome.

Wii - (Although I know people will get mad at me) I think it's better to play on with friends, the reason I would own one would be to play games like Mario Chargers and SSBB with friends.

lol sorry, but I found that to be pretty funny. Your opinion of course, but a video game is a video game in my opinion whether it's on the PC, console, or in an arcade.

I know but I feel like I'm supposed to be surfing the web or doing work something not playing a game on.

Wii: Best first-party games, most innovation, and soon, third parties will defect to it. My favorite.
PS3: Lots of potential, but not many games are out yet. Also has the benefit of Bluray. Also, it is priced higher than the 360 and Wii.
360: The best FPS console, with great multiplayer. Too bad you have to pay.
PC: Most of the good PS3 and 360 games end up here too. Plus, mouse and keyboard control better than a traditional gamepad. Also has by far the largest library, with the most variety. It is much more expensive, however. My second favorite.

Wii - The best next generation console. It offers something completely fresh like motion controllers and IR pointers. Best price and a good library of games. My favorite.

PC - The platform for the real technology connoisseur and enthusiast. Has the biggest library, some of the best classics and a bunch of cult games. The platform for the real hardcore gamer.

360 - A good console, with a good selection of RPGs. Very comfortable controller, but the RRoD problem is something that keeps my away with it.

PS3 - Overrated in terms of technology. No more comments.

I'd have to disagree big time especially the PS3 part.

DS - AWESOME!

PSP - AWESOME!

Wii - Lots of fun, but needs more strong single-player experiences. Luckily, it looks like we'll be getting those in '08.

360 - Gets most big-budget PC titles and a lot of cool indie games on XBLA, plus a number of intriguing exclusives. Probably my "best buy" for single-player gaming.

PS3 - Needs more good exclusives to differentiate itself from the 360; Resistance, Ratchet, and Uncharted just aren't cutting it. Again, it looks like it'll be getting those in '08, but that still doesn't solve the price issue.

PC - Lacking in big-budget exclusives, but awash in promising indie titles. Since most indie games don't require powerful hardware, you can probably get by without a "gaming PC" nowadays (unless you really want to run Crysis.)

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

360: My favorite so far. Its got lots of games from my favorite genres (Shooters and RPGs). It has the best controller ever in my opinion. Unfortunately RROD has struck me twice in a year. That tends to piss me off greatly.

PS3: I only had one game for the PS3 for about 6 months, I thought at the time that it would be on of the biggest wastes of money ever. That changed a few months ago, I now have 9 games and 20 Blu-Rays. And this looks to be the PS3s year. Its pretty much all great now with the PS3.

Wii: Its a good console with lots of potential. Unfortunately I only see two games I'm interested in coming out this year (SSBB and MK).

PC: I hate playing pc gaming.
