Plot thickens.

Is it true that Sony is actually behind all of this? Stay tuned!

This deserves its own thread.  The gall of Sony.  The unmitigated gall.

Microsoft and Sony are no different: they have their bottom lines to worry about moreso than satisfying their gamers. I don't blame them, they have their bills to pay no differently than we do.

Why is there Sony in the title? Source only mentions MS.

It sounds strange but it could be true. I've recently noticed that games either have incredibly steep requirements for PC and require a really nice rig to match/surpass xbone/ps4 and some games are locked at 30 FPS (Evil Within) and we're given some cheap excuse

That's nonsense. PCs were always inefficient and required disproportional upgrading to play latest titles. Besides that, why investing extra time and money on the least profitable plattform additionally to the relatively lenghty optimization process? Isn't the upgrade-option the great plus PC elitists always mention?

Question though. Since when has sony been accused of gimping games? When they got lesser multiplats from pc ports they took it.

A little reminder on who the "enforcers" are.

Not that any of this ubi-claim is true, but to say Sony is on par with MS (when only "they are" mentioned) in this matter is too much irrational implication.

The difference is tho that most people have to pay the bills that are simply required for them to exist.

Sony / MS / and all the western or western influeced studios tho have stupid bills they have to pay simply because they are stupid and make games for stupid customers.    I mean when Tomb Raider does not sell enough even tho it sold millions of copies (Before it was ported to new gen)  but  Japanese game X is profitable with only 200k sold then you know that one of those 2 is doing something wrong.  Most of the money is wasted on visuals that are not even that great and will look like shit 3 years later anyway.

The bold part didn't imply anything about Sony. I didnt see any part that specifically said Sony in what you posted. Quote it for me. I have to go an get a Wacom pad. I'll BRB.

It's right there in the other bolded, underlined part. Again, funny (but not surprising) that you'd ignore that one and latch onto the other, even though neither are direct quotes stating either company.

You don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out who the console manufacturers are, especially when 1 of the 3 sees next to no support from Ubisoft.

Underlined part said MS not Sony. He did say console manufacturers, but that could be just keeping things annonymous. We don't know for sure. But MS has been accused multiple times this gen of trying to hold PS4 games back. Wouldn't doubt they were the culprits with this whole situation that has been going on.

Wow that's really disappointing if true. How is Sony doing it though?

Watch_Dogs. If I recall correctly, Sony was promoting the PS4 version as being the definitive version through its ads. Later, it was found out that with a bit of work, the definitive version was the PC version. Some suspect this was Sony pressuring Ubisoft to hold back on the PC version.

On consoles maybe. I mean square advertised the current gen versions of tomb raider as definitive as well and they are doing the same thing for sleeping dogs even though it was on PC.
