Forums - Gaming - Fake Rumor: Dragon Age: Inquisition runs in 900p and 30FPS on PS4 and Xbox One

If it actually turns out to be a decent game I'll be getting the PC port anyway, so not a huge issue to me. BioWare games are best on PC anyway.

D'oh!

Apparently they didn't see the backlash lol. Oh yes I know it's only internet forum dwellers...the same ones that got MS to reverse all of their terrible policies because apparently they influence sales far more than most would care to believe.

Oh noes, another game that Sony fans will boycott because "no 1080p@60fps, no sale" lol.

They'd have to boycott every game ever then, because nothing runs at 60 FPS.

Mods close this thread, I watched the stream and they didnt comment on the resolution question, stream here:

No, its just that identical hardware produces identical specs. The real winner here is gamers who will enjoy this game. I might get it on xbox One

I see you think that 100 dollars and 100 pesos are identical.

Game engine seems CPU bound.

Even so, calculation of AI (or other stuff that requires processing power) doesn't have a direct impact on the graphical performance nor resolution.

edit: even so im replying for a comment that isn't necessary a fact (or close to that) xD

It was meant as a non serious post because Ubisoft. Btw I have yet to be convinced CPU has *nothing* to do with resolution ;)

CPU gets the data from the disk and memory and sends it to the GPU, GPU then renders the result, note that how fast the CPU can send that data constrains FPS, but the data itself can only been constrained by the disk space, memory and bandwidth to the GPU, once the data is in the GPU, data is worked on and rasterized, that is, turned into a flat image for the screen, you can have the GPU work less or more by making it output let or more pixels, but the CPU already is out of the equation by then.

This is fake, should be locked. We don't know what the resolution is. The dev didn't want to talk about it at all and someone just wanted to stir up some shit hence this thread.

The fact that the dev didn't want to talk about it means that something is not 1080p. It might be one of those cases where they never mention the resolution and let people find out on their own I could see MS asking for that if devs refuse parity.

may be...but one thing is right there is screens of ps4 version on gaf with 1080p native as some have mentioned here.. If this really happens is even worth because the game was already running at 1080p on ps4

All this just so Xbox fans don't get their feelings hurt?

I wonder how many people actually knows what 900p and 1080p means

most know what blurry means, same practical result.
