Forums - Website Topics - We need an "ignore user" option

I know this has been mentioned many times (at least once or twice by me alone) and I apologize for mentioning it again but we really need an "ignore user" option.  Please.

/ignore Legend11

I can't heeeeear yoooooooooou

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

So who do you want to ignore Legend ??? Maybe I can pull some strings and get him/her banned :)

Umm probably about 40-50 users to be honest... Maybe more.

I could see ignoring a user as essential if they are messaging you too many times or harassing you on your profile.

TalonMan has an incredibly valid point

Crusty VGchartz old timer who sporadically returns & posts. Let's debate nebulous shit and expand our perpectives. Or whatever.

I wouldn't mind this option, TC will be the first user on my list, and ummm that's it i guess for now.

I agree with TalonMan... if you want to ignore a user, just skip straight past their posts.

I usually read the majority of the thread because even the irritants might givea valid point or perhaps something I would respond to... but if that was never the case with a specific user it's simple to skip past.

I have yet to see anybody fully explain to me, what benefit would be gained by such a feature.

Is literally ignoring somebody so difficult that you need a computer to help you do it????

There are MANY posts I see from users who do nothing but irritate - I simply skip over them... ...it's called a 'mouse wheel' and it works very well. ;)

the ability to post our thoughts with out idiot fanboy BS messing up the thread.  Id love not to be able to see happysquirls stupid posts in the sony forum.

It's like trying to watch a movie at the theater when there are people talking.  Sure some people get kicked out of the threater for some things but generally the people who are whispering and still annoying don't.  Wouldn't it be nice to be able to "mute" them so you don't have to try to ignore them?
