Thanks for basically repeating what I was saying, at least you totally agree with me.

Oh and we are talking about november... Actually not even... We are talking about beating PS4 one week.
The only thing that will not make this happen in november is Europe as MMC will boost Xbox One sales in general but Europe will still win by a huge margin anyway.

Also, if you believe that Microsoft sold 174k console INCLUDING 100k in 24 hours in China this week... Then you are assume a bit too much that VGchartz numbers are rights. I would not be suprised if after adjustments we see the Xbox One ahead for last week. So arguing about if and when the Xbox One will sell more than the PS4 (for a week is almost pointless).

Remove Japanese PS4 sales this week and the Xbox One would've been on top. Europe wouldn't have been enough.

Not to mention all the other countries where PS4 sells much better. So yeah, it's the whole world minus US and UK, not just Europe.

Europe numbers are insanaly high for the PS4 and insanaly low for the XOne.

If VGChartz is accurated there is nothing more MS can do to save that region. But it´s hard to belive they will hate the XOne for much longer and with no apparent reason.

You mean Europe? You dont need VGC to tell you that, Microsoft never had any chance in EU to begin with

You've got to wonder why some people use such hurtful language when describing market preferences. You don't have to hate xb one not to buy it, you just have to prefer something else. And in this generation there are plenty of good reasons to prefer PS4 over xb one. Possibly more good reasons than the previous 2 generations.

I don't know what attitude from some xb one fans is worse: that there is no valid reason to buy a PS4; or that not buying xb one must be because of an irrational hatred.

I also don't get the complaints about vgc inaccuracy, as if it's a new thing, if anyone has more accurate global weekly sales to discuss in threads like this then please share it. Otherwise discuss numbers as they are and explain why you think something is over or under reality. Don't just come in and say what everyone already knows, that the numbers are only estimates so are not an actual count of every console sold.

You guys assume too much based on VGChartz numbers.

They are only a guess, and probally wrong most of the time.

But I´m looking foward for week with "statistical ties" all over again. It will be much fun from any side of the discusion.

Because people realy belive VGChartz can track every single console sold WW to the unit precision each week.

What are you on about? This week, 4 Oct, IS a statistical tie. It's the whole reason for half the discussion on this thread, most weeks the gap is so big that even vgc's essential inaccuracy cannot be used to claim xb one may have won the week. This time the gap is so small there is good reason to suppose the positions could be reversed by future adjustments because the margin for error far exceeds the numerical gap, and that is the very definition of a statistical tie. If the MoE is 20% then the true ps4 sales is 90% likely to fall within the range of 148k to 222k, and xb one is likely to fall in the range of 142k to 215. That is a massive overlap and unless future adjustments widen the gap significantly you might as well call I even.

But for the purposes of this discussion it's all about the number on the front page right now.

100k sold would be newsworthy in a year chock full of bad X1 PR. Iow, they would banner that in the press release area. It's okay, China is not a console market, and it will be a waste of time and resources for Sony as well.

Im sure some said same about it and its automotive market.

Cars =! Game Consoles.

It's not a dig against China. Nobody is saying there aren't people there that CAN afford game consoles.

It's a cultural issue, and the facts are that consoles are not going to succeed in China any time soon. The market for what it is has already been sewn up with Phones and PCs. But overall, gaming just isn't respected over there, it's looked down on. And the spare income of the middle class goes towards (1)- Savings, (2)- Vehicle/Home, and (3)- Outward 'show-off' items such as iPhones, Macbooks, designer shoes, etc.

If you want to know what I'm talking about to a similar extent, look at South Korea. They have an overall awesome economy, but game consoles are nearly irrelevant there due to PC and the other factors above.

Korea is weird, but china is to big to ignore.  Even if but a small percantage adopt console gaming that mean sales in the millions. The balck market for consoles is in the millions is it not.

Don't play the ignorant card some of you, you know damn well why people hate xbox one. Worldwide is PS4. Get used to it. Even US prefers PS4.

It has in the USA. Europe is Sony land.

It hasn't even in the US. Well according to the VGCHARTZ numbers.
