Europe numbers are insanaly high for the PS4 and insanaly low for the XOne.

If VGChartz is accurated there is nothing more MS can do to save that region. But it´s hard to belive they will hate the XOne for much longer and with no apparent reason.

You mean Europe? You dont need VGC to tell you that, Microsoft never had any chance in EU to begin with

US/UK is close and may actually favor Xbox One in November (or not, but only time will tell us). As far as China, PS4 will not be available there before end of year. And I'm sure other countries are close like US/UK. Even Japan is not going to play a big impact in the global number. The real differentiator is Europe.

When MMC comes out and Microsoft starts their PR campaign for black friday period, chances that US goes back to MS are real. Same goes for the UK and the PS4 will NOT be available in China in november too.

So yah, if Microsoft not win a week in november it is definitely because of "Europe".

Why does Japan not matter but China does? Japan is a bigger market...

Also, you're forgetting about a whole lot of countries. Playstation is significantly more popular almost everywhere but the US and UK, or it was so last generation. Now it is significantly more popular everywhere (where both are available), except maybe Brazil for obvious reasons (insanely overpriced)

Thanks for basically repeating what I was saying, at least you totally agree with me.

Oh and we are talking about november... Actually not even... We are talking about beating PS4 one week.
The only thing that will not make this happen in november is Europe as MMC will boost Xbox One sales in general but Europe will still win by a huge margin anyway.

Also, if you believe that Microsoft sold 174k console INCLUDING 100k in 24 hours in China this week... Then you are assume a bit too much that VGchartz numbers are rights. I would not be suprised if after adjustments we see the Xbox One ahead for last week. So arguing about if and when the Xbox One will sell more than the PS4 (for a week is almost pointless).

MS shipped 100k consoles in China, VGC counts sold to customer. We know Xbone baseline is around 80-90k and the estimate that they sold around 80k of their 100k shipped number is more than impressive, it's actually bigger than any other launch in a single country Microsoft had this year but it still wasnt big enough to outsell PS4 considering how big the gap is

There is zero indication that X1 sold anywhere near the full 100k. It was a shipped number, and they are still heavily in stock as of yesterday (newest info I've seen). If the news was better they would trumpet it.

The opposite is also true. There is zero indication that X1 did not sold anywhere near the full 100k (shipped number may actually be higher).

Also, nobody actually know for sure if it is shipped or sold.

100k sold would be newsworthy in a year chock full of bad X1 PR. Iow, they would banner that in the press release area. It's okay, China is not a console market, and it will be a waste of time and resources for Sony as well.

Im sure some said same about it and its automotive market.

Xbox One won't outsell PS4, not in America nor worldwide and most definitely not globally in the US.

I am sure it will pull out a win at some point. With this weeks number so close it may have even happened already. Who knows if/when there will be adjustments. The holidays are so unpredictable and one never knows about potential stock shortages during that time. Not to mention the deals Microsoft may trot out.

I would have to say that it would win at least one week but the PS4 is obviously a juggernaut at this point so I could be completely wrong about that. The next few months should be interesting to see.

Dunno why the XB1 supporters seem to insist on always moving the posts.

If MS sold 100k units in china in one day, be rest assured they would scream that accomplishment to the rooftops. If anything, the only thing MS has officially said about the launch was;

[UPDATE] Following the publication of this story, a Microsoft representative told GameSpot that the company "does not report sales by market and has nothing to share" regarding the Xbox One's rumored 100,000 sales figure for China. On the subject of the console's launch there in general, the Microsoft representative said, "We're thrilled to be first to market, leading the way in earning millions of fans in China.

So basically MS... MICROSOFT, is claiming that they do not report sales by market? Just go look at every NPD press release MS made back when they were winning the NPDs.

Cars =! Game Consoles.

It's not a dig against China. Nobody is saying there aren't people there that CAN afford game consoles.

It's a cultural issue, and the facts are that consoles are not going to succeed in China any time soon. The market for what it is has already been sewn up with Phones and PCs. But overall, gaming just isn't respected over there, it's looked down on. And the spare income of the middle class goes towards (1)- Savings, (2)- Vehicle/Home, and (3)- Outward 'show-off' items such as iPhones, Macbooks, designer shoes, etc.

If you want to know what I'm talking about to a similar extent, look at South Korea. They have an overall awesome economy, but game consoles are nearly irrelevant there due to PC and the other factors above.
