Forums - Nintendo - Hyrule Warriors: (contains spoilers) What would you like to see in future DLC?

So, I'm one of those people who have really gotten very deeply into this game. I'm coming up on 90 hours of play time (since the 20th - I'm Australian), and I'm not finished yet (playing - I've finished the story itself).

We already know a fair bit about what's coming in the Master Quest pack - Cia, Volga, and Wizzro playable, Epona weapon for Link, various costumes, a second Adventure Mode on the LoZ map, five more chapters for Legend Mode focusing on Cia's backstory, and more 8-bit weapon variants, at least.

And then there's at least three more packs coming. Majora's Mask pack, Twilight Princess pack, and Ganon pack. The MM pack, for instance, has two new characters and a "new Adventure mode map" (implies it's a different map, unlike the MQ one), plus more costumes (and I'm betting there'll be more than that).

So what I'm asking here is, what more would you like to see added to the game? What could they include in the DLC packs, or in a regular update, to extend the game, to boost its fanservice (not in that way, get those dirty thoughts out of your head), etc?

One thing I'd love to see is reskins of some other stages similar to how they reskin Hyrule Field to become Ganon's Tower. A number of reskins would work really well. Faron Woods, Lake Hylia, Twilight Field, and Gerudo Desert would all be great choices for Dark World/Lorule reskins, with each taking on a fairly obvious form - Faron Woods would have the trees from the Dark World, Gerudo Desert would be skinned as the Swamp, etc.

I'd also like to see a couple of new locations added, representing the currently-unrepresented console games. Majora's Mask would be great with a Termina Field location, with keeps at each of the exit points and two or three keeps in the centre (with the Clock Tower, etc), plus one for the Observatory. Wind Waker's Windfall Island would also work quite nicely, with various houses replaced with keeps (if the contrast was upped for that level, all the better).

I'd also like to see Twilight Princess get another location - namely, Yeto and Yeta's house and surrounds. The icy external area and central region would pair well with the building itself, which would contain multiple keeps.

In addition to this, there is mention of three additional playable characters - one in the TP pack, and two in the MM pack. If we assume they're from their respective games, then I'd go with the following:

From TP, an obvious choice is the Hero's Shade... but it would feel kind of like playing a Darknut, and I just don't think it's a memorable-enough character (in terms of personality, not recognition). Other options are Midna's true form, Ooccoo, Skull Kid (better to go with the MM form), Rusl, Postman, Ook, Yeto (or Yeta), or Telma. From Majora's Mask, there are many options, like Tingle, Majora, Skull Kid, Keaton, Happy Mask Salesman, Deku Butler/King, Mikau, Igos du Ikana, Zubora+Gabora, Fierce Deity, Koume and Kotake, Aveil (basically Nabooru)... there's really quite a lot of characters that would work.

But then, there's nothing saying that characters have to actually come from the respective games. I'd like to see Saria, with an Ocarina-based moveset. Sun's Song for fire damage (she could perhaps carry the mirror shield for defense and for use with Sun's Song), Song of Storms for water or lightning damage, Scarecrow's Song for a more physical attack (summoning the two scarecrows, which would then spin around, damaging foes near them), and Zelda's Lullaby to stun foes. Saria's Song could summon other Kokiri to fight momentarily, while Epona's Song would cause Epona to appear and dash past Saria. Special move would be Song of Time, which would cause a heap of blue Time blocks to appear around Saria. On activating Focus Spirit, she could play Song of Double Time, and then her special attack during it could use Oath to Order.

Many thought Saria should have gotten the Spear moveset that Lana got. Personally, I like this idea better for Saria. As for the actual weapons, the three levels could be the Fairy Ocarina, Ocarina of Wind (from Minish Cap), and then Ocarina of Time. Oh, and her win scene after victory could have her play the Elegy of Emptiness to produce statues (with much better quality, not quite so creepy-looking) of Saria (imitating the Young Link statue), Ruto (imitating Mikau), and Darunia (imitating Darmani).

I would also like to see a few characters that currently only have one weapon get new weapons. Ruto could get a Guitar weapon that gives her a moveset inspired by Mikau (guitar weapons, arm-blades, etc). Sheik could get a Mask of Truth moveset, with elements of skulltulas, gossip stones (complete with launch effects like what happens when you bomb them in OoT), and the other associated masks (Keaton, Skull, Spooky, and Bunny) - change the mask with the Strong Attack button and it changes the forms of the attacks, perhaps?

A few extra bosses would also be great - I'd go with Helmasaur King (Bombs), Knucklemaster (Arrows), Arrghus (Hookshot), and Moldarach (Boomerang). And perhaps some extra mooks, too - perhaps Ball and Chain Trooper for captain with the other Hyrule guard types from Link to the Past under them. White Wolfos leading regular Wolfos. Shadow Beasts leading Twilit Bulblins.

There's just so much they could do to expand on what's already there. If this is too much for this game, I'd be happy for a sequel.

Obviously bikini costumes for Link and Darunia.

But, first, female versions of all the male characters! Separate DLC!

I thought that goes without saying.

I think Metroid-themed could be interesting

My interest in the game petered out quite quickly after finishing the story. I've logged in occasionally, and expect I will continue to do so, but most of my drive has gone. More story is the only thing that would entice me to consider any dlc... Even if it was a story that only recycled old maps.

Would say I enjoyed the game but I'm unlikely to buy any more warriors games - at least for a while.

Did you try Adventure Mode?

It's got A LOT more content then Legend Mode (Story).

It boggles me that there is no Fierce Deity Link. It is the most obvious fan service for a game like this.

I am loving to play as Ganondorf though
